Stop having kids?

Image
Should believers stop having kids?  Q: I am currently pregnant with our 6th child and I’m excited and terrified.  I’m 35 next year and I have been pondering if after I give birth this time should I get my tubes tied. I’m torn because on the one hand I don’t know how God would feel about it but on the other hand I don’t think we would be able to support any more children after this.  I’m going to pray about it but seeking godly advice. A: We need to do things God's way, as we  live in this sin stained world.  God always provides. If he creates the human in the womb then it is meant to be. If we are in the right design (married & having kids, & wife at home) then God will provide for your husband and meet all your basic needs if both of you are living in righteousness. 🙂 Matthew 6:33 But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Rom. 8:28 We know all things together for good to those who lov...

Co Pastors & Pastor's Wife

Q: Are husband and wife Co Pastors? Can a pastors wife or is a pastors wife... a pastor?  A: The Bible is clear regarding God’s divine order in the body of Christ, the church, for men and women. What does God’s word say regarding who can hold the pastoral or deacon positions in the church and what a woman’s role within the church looks like?: “For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.  Let your women keep silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak; but they are to be submissive, as the law also says. And if they want to learn something, let them ask their own husbands at home; for it is shameful for women to speak in church.” ‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭14:33-35 NKJV‬‬ “Likewise deacons must be reverent, not double-tongued, not given to much wine, not greedy for money, holding the mystery of the faith with a pure conscience. But let these also first be tested; then let them serve as deacons, being found blameless. Likewis...

Pastoral problems

Our Pastors family and ours has become very close, more like family and friends and interacting all the time.  We felt that Pastor was dictated to by his family (who all hold leader and executives position in the church) on a matter.  Recently there have been things spoken by his family and the Pastor that upset us.  Then the Pastor never contacted us as to why we were not going to church (plus we were part of the worpship team), and when we took the first step to address our concerns  Pastor does not want to meet with us but instead have us neet his executive team before he will talk to us (his family who majority are leaders and executives in the church).   We are also hurt that a Pastor could just let us go away from his church when we were committed. Also when we went to go pick up something from the church... he stood by without saying a word and we felt such hurt.  We feel that had Pastor wanted to resolve this wouldnt be problematic.  Pleas...

Christian Safe Spaces Online?

The Local Church where you have membership is the closest safe space you will find for a believer. There are few safe spaces for Christians on social media and related places online.  With the proliferation of unsaved people [cult members, catholics, orthodox, and others who follow false teachings and idolatry, (as well as people who are false converts, unsaved church goers, or generally in false churches)], online, you will not find these places are any go to trustworthy place to find friends, get answers, ask questions or even learn useful things pertaining to Scripture or evangelism.  The place where you can find solid answers & guidance is going to be at your local biblical church, from your Sunday School teachers, deacons, and Pastor, and perhaps also from a liscensed biblical counselor in the congregation as well.  Beyond that you can find answers at these(1) reputable places.   You would have to have a very solid grasp on Scripture and Chr...

Homeschool article dump *

Why would anyone in todays society keep their kids in the cesspool of public school systems in USA???  They have ridiculosly low reading skills, hardly any critical thinking skills, no socialization worth anything if value, no soft skills, are plahed by bullying, assaults, drugs, rape, dodging bullets, classes filled with aggressive and violent students, males going into girls bathrooms and gym rooms, schools sexually pervertedly grooming kids and dozens more reasons. Teachers dont stay up with the times and change curriculum, they simply use state made materials and download things now for a easy job, and do not teach quality material. Many are using Ai to do their job and becoming more lazy. Theres more than 30 kids in a classroom, and the students drown and get no help only to be pushed off to every new grade, and are pushed off as a graduate when they have not met the standard for many years already. Many are at 4th ir 6th grade reading levels even in grade 12, but for nonsense...

Help reaching a lgbtperson I know

Image
Here us a very good resource to help you gain a biblical grasp on identity topic so you can have educational and biblically informed conversations with them, anyone else (and those in Christianity who dont grasp the issue). And it has faq answers for those in the lifestyle so good conversations can be had when you feel appropriate timing and God moving you to engage them about it and the Gospel.  Specifically look through the below resource for  Identity Crisis , and get a firm biblical grasp by listening to Fallen Masterpieces . The rest of the info is good and useful, but start with those two. [The latter one is quicker (to start with)]. Today's Identity Crisis: http://longertweets.blogspot.com/2024/03/todays-identity-crisis.html Doctrine on Man as the image of God:  http://longertweets.blogspot.com/2024/03/doctrine-of-image-of-god.html If you get a firm grasp on this material, you will be able to pray about those you know who are in the lgbt+ sex cult and b...

Was I a false convert (in youth) & feel I am unsavable 😔

Kid teen false convert Q: my life is a mess. When I was a little girl I sang in church and when I was a teenager I prayed to have Jesus...sadly I walked away doing what I wanted. I got into drugs, had kids (treated them poorly lost them got them back), and made another horrible choice, and then got into witchcraft turning my back on God. I’m down to my lowest I’ve ever been and I’m trying to get back, but feel it is too late and He is angry with me. It’s so scary. I feel no peace even if I beg or try to pray 😞. Advice? A: There is still hope & you can have peace with God and the peace of Christ. Many today had false conversions as kids or young teens. They wanted to go to Heaven and were manipulated by a false gospel of life enhancement, so they had no true conversion... and continued to love sin and went their own way. They never showed fruit of salvation because they were never actually saved. Many mightve had relatives who went to church, so they went. They mightve beli...

Unequally yoked kid friendships

Q: Son friend is in a cult. His family asked if our son could come to a activity at their temple. How do I say no?  --------- A: Do not lie. I'd simply say, "we're not comfortable with allowing our son to attend functions outside of our own church, but is there a chance the boys could do something else (the next day)?" But only add the latter if you are solid in understanding Scripture and the essentials of Christianity, and are intentionally trying to reach their family with the truth and gospel to their family. If not then there's no real reason to allow that friendship any further; it shouldnt have started. Redirect; your son needs to have solid Christian friends, made from within his church.  The Bible points to the disconnection between light and darkness, and protecting  children from what is described as darkness. We are to "Train your child up" in the biblical faith, "so he will not depart from it". As believers, it's essential to a...

Why Hymns are important

Hymns and Psalms and Songs praise God and bring glory to our Triune God.  It also continues to educates the believer, and unsaved visitors and children.  Reading & singing it stores the Word of truth in our hearts, and when memorized, bursts forth to glorify God and be a reminder to us of its message when we sing it.  Those who do not go to church are missing out on opportunities to glorify God, as well as the wealth and depth of theology, Christian discipleship it brings, reminders of truth, and the encouragement (and renewing of our mind and strength) it brings to a believer. 52 to 104 to 156 times a year. Once to three times a week as we gather together with the local community of redeemed saints, you are misding out on all those opportunities.  We are called to assemble and be with and one with the local body of believers, our eternal brethren, our new family in Christ.   There is much going on at Church all day and all night, & the redeemed nee...

First Read through Bible?

Q: Just finished reading through the whole Bible in 90 days. It is possible! We should encourage others to do it...it is vastly different from simply reading completely through individual books. I am starting to read it through again in chronological order this time.😃 A: I think I memorized the first part of Gen Ch1 before anything else 😂. I remember trying to read it a few times and it always ended there.  And you are right, we need to read it every day. It keeps us close to God, drives us to prayer, and helps us grow in faith, and guides us to right living. We def need it daily! 🙂 I was born again at 12, had no godly parents or role models around me 6 of 7 days a week, lived far from other people, and my only exposure to Christianity was my godly grandparents (Grandpa was a temp pastor b4 i was born at a small lil church, and then a decon at our church my whole life and till he passed). I was dumped at their place on the weekends, and while they didnt say much at home about Ch...

I am losing faith & am confused

Q: I was raised christian, but lately have been really struggling in my faith and feel like everything I do that pertains to my faith in God/Christ is forced. Everything feels like its being done out of obligation and not actual enjoyment in Gods word. I read my bible and notate it everyday and I pray and ask God for understanding but I just feel so lost honestly.  Then I cant bring myself to believe everything in the bible, like some of it just dont be making sense to me and is really confusing. Like this is a sin but it was written in context so it doesn't apply to us, oh but this is literal it still applies (honestly how can you even tell).  And then As a kid, the word of faith doctrine is generally preached (if you pray God will heal you, if you pray God will provide) so I see many people my age raised in the faith that leave because they see bad things happen or pray for something and nothing happens and question if Gods even real. I don't particularly need to question if...

Lack happiness & peace

Image
Q: 6 years ago I accepted Jesus into my life. Not sure when it happened but I've backed away from praying and church and reading the Bible. I've been living my life how I want to, and been unhappy since. I don't have any testimony.   My prayers were boring.  I never felt the presence of God, the peace, the love.  Does God not love me?  A: The way to turn back onto the right path is to be doing what you stopped. Be an active member in your local church, and read the Bible & praying daily. "Sin will keep you from the Bible but the Bible will help keep you from sin." You sound like a prodigal son but also it is possible you came to Christ looking for life enhancement instead of righteousness. We are not promised a problem free, best life or happy life here in this temporary sin stained world. Our joy is in Christ and what is coming for eternity. We all face suffering and problems in this life, but it is only hope filled and able to walk ...

How to get deeper in the Word

Image
Q: How does one get deep in “the word”?  I’m reading the Bible, am a little over halfway through the OT, & have read John, Matthew, and Revelations in the NT, but I couldn’t quote any of it or discuss Christianity with a non believer.   This being my first read through Scripture, seems like a lot of densly packed events. Is the Bible supposed to be more life changing experience and getting to know God? A: You will retain more over time.  The Scriptures are meant to change a believer inwardly more and more into a person of righteousness. It is a deep book and takes a lifetime to accomplish, but if you are birn again tje Holy Spirit will guide you as you read and aplly it so you will conform to and become more like Christ. This sanctification growth takes time. You are just at the beginning so give yourself some Grace and just keep plowing through it daily.  Here are some helpful ideas: Reread the introduction to each book.  It is good to rere...

Q on Christians and Music

Image
Q: I am a newer believer and need advice on what secular or worldly music is acceptable or if I should throw it all away and never look back.  A: Thinking about some of the advice people give on the topic of music and the Christian... thinking wayyy back and to even now... Lyrics in 60s to 90s you had no clue what many song lyrics were. Yea it is English 😅 but a lot of times it sounded like a diff word. Once cd's had lyrics printed in them or in later internet era years (after 2007) we were able to look up lyrics and 😱.  Some liked the songs so they changed the lyrics, but that doesnt really work. And you are being swayed by the song like demonic  sirens enticing you.  We notice most secular songs we liked were the music sound not the lyrics. It is also why many like foreign music. There's vocal tones but music sounds nice. But theres caution. Even with "Christian music" today we have to be really cautious because many are written by churches or popular...
