Was I a false convert (in youth) & feel I am unsavable 😔
Kid teen false convert
Q: my life is a mess.
When I was a little girl I sang in church and when I was a teenager I prayed to have Jesus...sadly I walked away doing what I wanted. I got into drugs, had kids (treated them poorly lost them got them back), and made another horrible choice, and then got into witchcraft turning my back on God. I’m down to my lowest I’ve ever been and I’m trying to get back, but feel it is too late and He is angry with me. It’s so scary. I feel no peace even if I beg or try to pray 😞. Advice?
A: There is still hope & you can have peace with God and the peace of Christ.
Many today had false conversions as kids or young teens. They wanted to go to Heaven and were manipulated by a false gospel of life enhancement, so they had no true conversion... and continued to love sin and went their own way. They never showed fruit of salvation because they were never actually saved. Many mightve had relatives who went to church, so they went. They mightve believed in God but their god was an idol. Idolatry. Not the real God. They didnt know clearly about the real God, nor obeyed the true Gospel. So they have confusion.
This will help you examine yourself and also point you to the biblical gospel so you can understand it clearly - and embrace it 🤗
Many young folk in church never have a firm understanding of God, sin and our true situation, bcuz the church fails to teach this (today). They are not told or given what they need to know to be saved. But there is still hope; you recognize you need to be right with God. He can totally transform you.
Go thru the link and within it is a new & growing believers section. You can go through the studies section area about God, his attributes, his holiness, and related areas on sin & Christian living to help you have clarity in the matter, and a good start in the Christian faith. Plus there are free Foundational studies listed there in the beginning as well to help you start off with important essentials of the faith.
Once you obey the Gospel [repent of sin and trust in Jesus] then go find a biblical church and become a member. They will be your spiritual family and eternal brethren. You will learn there to grow in the faith, be guided into righteiusness, make godly friends, get godly counsel among the redeemed there, and wirship and serve the Lord together. The above link has a list to church search and info explaining the importance of being part of the local church.
God bless
