Co Pastors & Pastor's Wife

Q: Are husband and wife Co Pastors? Can a pastors wife or is a pastors wife... a pastor?

A: The Bible is clear regarding God’s divine order in the body of Christ, the church, for men and women.

What does God’s word say regarding who can hold the pastoral or deacon positions in the church and what a woman’s role within the church looks like?:

“For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.  Let your women keep silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak; but they are to be submissive, as the law also says. And if they want to learn something, let them ask their own husbands at home; for it is shameful for women to speak in church.”
‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭14:33-35 NKJV‬‬

“Likewise deacons must be reverent, not double-tongued, not given to much wine, not greedy for money, holding the mystery of the faith with a pure conscience. But let these also first be tested; then let them serve as deacons, being found blameless. Likewise, their wives must be reverent, not slanderers, temperate, faithful in all things. Let deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well. For those who have served well as deacons obtain for themselves a good standing and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.”
‭‭I Timothy‬ ‭3:8-13‬ ‭NKJV‬

“if a man is blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of dissipation or insubordination. For a bishop must be blameless, as a steward of God, not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money,”
‭‭Titus‬ ‭1:6-7‬ ‭NKJV‬

“the older women likewise, that they be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things— that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed.”
‭‭Titus‬ ‭2:3-5‬ ‭NKJV‬

Did you catch that?  Women are to be teachers of good things as the verse says; but nowhere does it include teaching biblical doctrine to anyone.  Not to children, not to other women, and most certainly not to men.  Teaching biblical doctrine is reserved for men.

“I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting; in like manner also, that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, but, which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works. Let a woman learn in silence with all submission. And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence. For Adam was formed first, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression. Nevertheless she will be saved in childbearing if they continue in faith, love, and holiness, with self-control.”
‭‭I Timothy‬ ‭2:8-15‬ ‭NKJV‬

No, a pastor’s wife isn’t a pastor according to God’s word.  Any woman calling themselves a pastor is in rebellion to God’s word, and they need to repent & submit/come under the authority of what God in Scripture teaches mankind.

Stay far from any "church" where a woman claims to be a pastor, deacon, chaplain, worship leader etc where the positions were clearly revealed (and in principle per 1 Tim 2).

Such wimen are like Eve living pridefully in the flesh wanting to be a god over her world and have power to practice rebellion, live in sin, teach doctrines of demons and lead others to be "soul hunters" like Nimrod who make people "twice the son of Hell that they are". They are only out for self, fame and money. Avoid them.
