Struggling with Christianity

Q: I don’t really know how to say this without sounding like I’m trying to be negative to Christianity, because I’m genuinely not. I think I just don’t know if I believe anymore. I was agnostic from the age of 13–29 before I started walking with Christ 3 years ago. I truly wanted to know God & experience the peace & love I heard everyone talk about especially after all the abuse I’ve experienced all my life. But for the past 6 months the questions that kept me agnostic for so long have started coming back. -Why are there passages in the Bible that seem contradictory?  -If God already knows every choice I’ll ever make and how my life will end, how do I truly have free will? If my entire future is already known by God, how is it not already determined? -If God knew Adam and Eve would eat from the forbidden tree, why put it there? -How can an all-loving, all-powerful God watch innocent people suffer in horrific ways when He has the power to stop it? How is that fair to innocen...

Overwhelm from return from lukewarm faith

Q: Overthinking & need godly advice "I've been away from Christianity for a few years now, and I kept putting it off by telling myself "I have time, I need a break so I can come back to God on my own." But I ended up going too far away, sinking into lust and lies. But I've been feeling a strong pull to turn back to God and live by his rules. I've been trying, but my anxiety and overthinking keeps getting in my way. Am I doing enough? If I watch TV. is it a distraction even if I'm reading my Bible? (I can't focus unless I'm multitasking, so that's why I do that.) The Bible feels repetitive since l've been reading it since was young, but is it wrong to feel that way? God has blessed me with a house, but am I beind selfish by wanting to add more to it? Is it being greedy to stretch a dollar and thrift? I've told lies and I'm tryina to make amends, but is it wrona that I'm scared? When I do try to read more of the Bible, my eye...

My daughter is threatening to cut me off & not allow me around future kids if I dont attend her day wedding &embrace her lifestyle

Q:  I’m needing advice. I am a mother firm in my convictions but my decision will hurt my relationship with my daughter and this I do not want.  My daughter is gay and wants to get married. When she came out to us we choose love, we love both her and her friend and pray over them, they are involved with all our family does. They respect our boundaries of no PDA in front of us. We told her when we found out that we would never attend a wedding because this goes against our faith and what the Bible teaches… the thought of being there heavily convicts me. I have shared the truth with her but she does not share our belief.  She asked me in tears “Mom can you please attend and just ask God for forgiveness?” God forgives right? I need my family with me and I want to share the happiest day of my life with you. She also said if I don’t attend it will change the dynamic of our future and I won’t be a part of her families life if she has a child.  I know attending and celebrat...

Befriending non Christians?

Q: Can you be friends with someone that doesn't have the same beliefs as you? I have been thinking back to high school and all the friends I had.. and got to missing them. I reached out to one of my closest friends in high school that I haven't seen in over 10+years... I miss her and would love to meet up and see how she's been and what she's been up to.... But I do not think she's a Christian... Idk I haven't seen her in 10 or so years but I mean this girl was pretty goth and if I remember correctly is pagan...  Is it a bad idea to meet up and see how she is, see if she is changed? I mean I am definitely not the same person I used to be... Thank Jesus. I'm so terrified of doing anything against God.. and idk why but when I go around people their personalities rub off on me while I'm with them, so I'm just worried I'Il "try to hide my faith unintentionally to make her comfortable". It's something I've noticed I did in the past. ...

Concerned family isnt saved

Q: It’s really hard for me to try hard to read my Bible and learn about God and Jesus...when I don’t think anyone in my family is going to heaven. It feels wrong for me to go without them, and it breaks my heart to think about being separated from them. Despite their ways, they’re my family and I love them enough to lay my life down for them. A: It is good you have concern for them, but it is sinful/wrong to think what Jesus did for you is "wrong"... no salvation is wrong. If saved, Jesus died for you. So dont think like to throw your salvation away cuz you "think" family wont be saved. You are not God and do not know if theyll be saved before they die. (Don't make assumptions on their salvation based on who they are today).  What do you mean “for” them? It’s not like you’re rescuing them from anything if they’re rejecting God. You can minister with heartfelt intention to faithfully call them to salvation. If you love them you would in a Christlike way purpos...

Unsaved open agnostic husband (but has faq about Jews & other gods)

Q: I married unequally yoked. I was lukewarm at the time just starting to dive deeper back.I know it is my fault.  We have had deep conversations about faith, and he prays with us and goes to church with us. His opinions and views I would say are more agnostic. As he believes the Christian God is just as possible as any other god. He just has a lot of questions and often questions the Jewish and Christianity religion and how they are the same but they don’t both believe Jesus is a Messiah.  I have been praying for him for years now. We are 2 1/2 years into marriage and have been together almost 7 years. We also have two children together. I’m having a hard time with resentment and I know this isn’t right or fair. I’m praying hard about it and God has been showing me my heart but this feeling is so deep and so important to me as my faith is now. How do I work through this ? A: God will bless your efforts and you have to ride out the consequences (what the unequally yoked part b...

Suicide, Euthanasia & Organ harvesting

Q: How should we respond to this, and ministering to others in her situation?  A: I can give my thoughts based on what I understand from this situation.  [Edit: The below was reported but later this ].   1) We had heard that in 2022, Noelia, a young vulnerable teenager, was placed in a Spain- state-run home for at-risk youth (basically CPS), where evil was perpetrated on her. She was taken from her loving home while her mom & grandma pleaded CPS not to take her (as seen in emotional video in the home).  Her troubles started when she was 13, and her parents got divorced.  The government decided that she was experiencing 'family instability' and neglect so they put her in a home.  * I hope they dont do that to every kid from divorced homes! 2) The young woman was said to have experienced sexual abuse/assaults (one involving an ex-boyfriend and another incident). As of the latest reports (around March 26, 2026), her ex had not been convicted, a...
