How should Christians view Euthanasia?

Q: Thoughts on elective euthanasia for the terminally ill? I have a dear friend who’s father is has end stage MS. He just had his leg amputated last night because he twitches so severely from MS that he rubs his feet raw against the bed sheets. He chokes on his food, is completely incoherent and has no idea who anyone is or what’s going on, and my friend is burdened with the cost of care and provides direct care overnight. His father is almost brain dead. They are not believers, I didnt minister to them, but sent him the Euthanasia (death with dignity) form, because they are all suffering so much.  Did I the right thing or not, if not, pls advise so I know what to do in the future (and as helps for others). Thanks.  A: I understand you wanting to help but you did do the wrong thing. Elective euthanasia is just another word for suicide or murder, those who elect to do it and those who do the deed, are murderers, and those who encourage it would be in serious trouble with God fo...

Single mom walk and parenting help

Image
Q: I am a young mom of a 1 year old, who turned to Jesus 8 years ago. I made a mistake by having sex before marriage.  I feel like I was doing well going to Sunday School, I used to pray, i stopped doing devotionals and feel lost my direction and do not experience feeling the Holy Spirit. I have attended revivals, went to alter calls and nothing works. It feels like something is missing. I feel like a person who doesnt experience the life of a true believer.  What I have to do in order to get back in line with God's will for my life, and live a Christian life? A: When we get saved, it is a one time thing. We trust in God >>because of His written word, not by our feelings. Feelings lie and deceive, but God's Word is truth.   You simply need to be sure you are saved and walk in that assurance, and move forward.  You also have a child and what you did wrong in sex outside of marriage is in the past, if you asked God for forgiveness and put fornic...

Had abortion, repented but feel awful

Image
Q:  I had a couple abortions several years ago and feeling very awful because of what I did. I don’t know what to do. I’ve repented, but it’s something making me feel I’m like I’m horrible. Please pray,... and can you give me advice, encouragement, direction?  A:  I hope this encourages you and brings you peace so you can put that past behind you and continue forward with Christ as the one who leads your life.  It is possible that you realized the seriousness of what you did, that you had murdered someone, instead of giving the children for adoption.  You realized that child's life had value, as humans are image bearers of our Creator. And that you took innocent babies lives. You understood, 1 John 3:15-17 tells us: is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life residing in him. While it was what you wanted to do back then for varied reasons, you later regretted it and were so contrite over it >>you repented to God.  Scrip...

Practical ways to live out your faith unequal

Practical ways to live out your faith before your unbelieving spouse First I want to say, if you came to Christ after marrying as both were unbelievers, theres hope for you. If you married an unbeliever while you were a believer, as discussed here, pray God will have you overflow as a godly example before your husband in the hope that God will save him too.  Practical ideas in no particular order: 1. Read through the books and resources here . Gleen ideas from it and put them into permanent action daily.  2. When you feel wronged by him, remember Jesus was wronged in the greatest way and you can have a right mindset and forgiving loving response and behavior. And honestly you can start by looking at how big an issue it is, out of 1 to 5 if it isnt a 5, and doesnt violate the law or your faith...just let him lead and just go with it.  Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone.  Rom 12:18 3. Bridle your tongue and thoughts and while you can seek godly cou...

Catholic asks about Christian Church History

Claim: God left us a Church not a Bible Q: Catholics are taught that the Bible was not canonized until the 1600s. They claim Martin Luther played a very big part of removing certain books of the Bible that didn't blend with his hateful antisemitic ways. Catholics find it horrible anyone sees him as a hero. Claiming he was the Hitler of his time. They agree that Protestants love talking about sticking to Scripture, but Catholics say there foundation was removing Scripture from the Bible that didn't fit their narrative. Further they think Protestants are ignorant in the way they teach the history of the Church. That is what as a Catholic we are taught.  A: If you are open to investigate these things it will only be a benefit to you. 1. You have all of these facts wrong, but that is no surprise since Catholicism is a den of demons where demonic doctrines and twisted Scriptures and false teaching reside and are retaught to generationally decieve and keep you in darkness.  Protesta...

Chosen?? Should I watch a show vs Read the Bible?

I’m new to my Christian journey. I have a hard to time reading my Bible from understanding to being able to stay focused. Should I start watching "The Chosen", to get a better understanding? No. And we should Not be using something to "replace" God's Word. People globally are crying and having celebrations because they finally git their hands on the Bible, and you have one  Tribes receiving 1st Bibles 👉 Why NO on the Chosen Are you familiar with  Tyndale and the Reformers sacrifices?  A better idea for reading the Bible is ...is a audio Bible . Listen through the NT, then pick up your Bible and "listen as you read" from Gen to Rev (and just repeat) 😊 You can also pair your reading with a Bible series that goes thru the Bible book by book like at GTY. org (under Scripture tab) but here is one of the few seriesavail on YT  For more growing believer resources: Believers Portal  God bless

Feel husband is unappreciative 😔

Image
Q: I feel unappreciated in my marriage.  Have you ever felt underappreciated in your marriage about anything? Well, today I did. I cooked a homemade taco bowl and I had all the fixins. My hubby had the audacity to first ask for Salt. I told him it does not need . salt. It's a taco salad. He then asked for ranch. Well stared at him in disbelief as I felt it was rude for him to suggest my food was not seasoned enough or was lacking. I cooked ground meat and added mushrooms, cilantro and lime rice, chopped and cut up onions, tomatoes and lettuce. I had three different types of shredded cheese, sour cream, salsa and side of jalapenos. I mean really!!! I just told him the next time 1 will give you a dry taco shell, shredded cheese, some salt and ranch dressing. Now, his bottom lip stuck out. And I do not care. Should I care? A: I know what he did might hurt your feelings. I know when I spend time cooking and cleaning it up it is a lot of work - others rarely realize it (and ...

Pastor lied to me

Q: How could this happen? I  thought my pastor was man of God. He always preached to put God first and talked of honor, respect and fellowship. I came to The Lord through his preaching. Now, I've found he’s been lying to me for a long time. When confronted with the truth.. his response is “leave me alone”. My heart is just ripped out of my chest. I hardly know what to do. A:  Well people fail us, pastors are no different (if saved they can still fall off the path like we do).  The most loving thing is to initiate Matt 18 "church discipline". Bring the issue to a couple of decons in the church >>or mature believers and have them go with you to resolve this; together talk to the pastor. If he refuses to repent then bring it to the elders, and then if he doesnt repent bring it before the church by means of the next senior person, or a pastor who is over him. If he doesnt repent then, the church is called to vote and remove him from his posirion, disfelliwship him, and...

Man seeks church Youth pastor job

I am a 31 year old single man with, no family, no kids. I have a good paying job and work 72-100 hrs and just feel I want to do something like influence youth. I saw a opening for a pt youth pastor at my small 200 member church, but have no theology degree, & not much experience. There is also a ft sub teacher position at a school avail. I would do both jobs. I've not been part of youth ministry in maybe 5 years. I used to be a leader of young men at a previous church for a few years until some personal things and my work schedule got in the way and I had to unfortunately give it up at the time. When I was doing it, I felt the most fulfilled I've ever been.  I have very limited time ever working with youth due to my rigorous schedule as an adult and no ministerial training. I would essentially do that job for free if I could get the tentative promise of the full time job in the future because that is where my heart is. The church I am currently at has 200 members and abo...

Son is doubting God

Q: One of my sons has decided he’s atheist after diligently seeking the Lord, praying, studying the Bible & asking the Holy Spirit to please speak to him. He’s young. Statistics show the majority of youth have turned from the faith for other means. Do we know this is wrong? Of course. But what we believe isn’t going to help. Living it will help of course.  He just said God has never spoken to him ever even when he was diligently reading His word & praying. Just praying the Holy Spirit reaches him. He’s seen me pray for years against his dads adultery then his dad left. He thinks God ignored my prayers. Things he tries to accomplish seem to go the opposite way. He was very diligent in Bible study. Now he thinks there’s really no God.  I pray that God draws my son back to Him & that we all keep every young person in prayer every single day. The devil is winning them guys. It’s time we get serious in our battle. Please pray for godly influences in their lives. He only...

Death - anxiety over it

I have a general anxiety disorder Spiritually, I am not afraid of death cuz I know I will be in Heaven. But I have to admit for years I have an extreme fear in dying. The pain, fear of the unknown and I am struggling to overcome it. Any advice? The resources here could help. Thetes a section on anxiety and some books also listed there too.  Im dying of a rare incurable cancer and I was shocked at the news, because I am healthy and came out of nowhere. I had a time of trouble upon first hearing it. But know that we are in a sin stained world. We all die, many don't live to old age. We can just do our best to walk with the Lord well daily and if like Enoch he takes us tomorrow, or we die suddenly or with warning, death will still happen. Either way we still step through deaths doorway. Believers just step into eternal life.  Paul quotes the Hebrew prophet Hosea: “Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? O death where is your sting?”  But if we tru...

Friend left Church/Christianity 😥

Image
Q: Friend left church  My friend I knew from a while back used to go to church, she served sometimes too. She posted this  I read it and I do not know how if I should try to reach her or how to. Advice?  A: Your friend sadly, was never saved. Grew up in the church but more likely grew up in the world more. Never understood the seriousness of sin, never loved Jesus sacrifice cuz she never understood it. Never desired nor posessed righteousness. She loves her sins just like all in darkness who are still enslaved to their sin nature and to Satan. You could mention/comment in the post, regardless of her reply... " I really enjoyed serving with you at church and being friends, which i hope we still can be. But, I was sad to hear you walked away from the church, and fear you might never have understood the seriousness of sin and our sins against God, which was so great that he gave us all the death penalty for. Yet the extreme lengths God went to to bring salvatio...

Church friend embraced homosexuality

A friend, who when I was in high school, was actually a positive influence and pointed me to Christ on many occasions when I was lost in the world, came out as gay a few years ago…and now he posts stuff like this. It’s truly sad. It is sad. Many are led astray by newagism idolatry and all you can do is pray God opens his eyes and he repents. Keep him in prayer. Engage where you can, lovingly. In this instance you can share things like this , and leave it be. He likely may have no interest in truth, and actually be apostate. But pray anyway. Workmates are mean

Hello guys! I need an advice and also a word of wisdom to y'all. I have this co-workers who speak, as I observed, like without thinking the words they're using or saying and most of those words are insults to/for me calling me crazy, mad, moron or idiot but for them it's a joke, and by the way and everytime they call me that I just smiled and keep quiet 'cause I really don't know how to deal with that kind of person. And I just thought that may be they're acting or talking like that because I'm very quiet person so may be they see me as an easy target or easy to bully, I admit that eventhough I started a month ago I'm still not close to my co-workers because I'm having a problem how to approach someone.  I just prayed to God that I don't want to be part of their teams I don't think they'll see me as a teammate not even a friend nor a person, I think. And I have this feeling that all of them don't want to stay at the company because of...

Rebellious reactive Teen, Help!

I have a 15 year old daughter and she’s really bad like hateful cussing hitting us just plain angry. My husband is her step dad and today was a bad day. He said he hates her and blah blah blah. He can be mean also but mostly with words. He also says Jesus is the answer which I know is true but his reactions don’t make this situation easy. I’m starting to think the only way to make this is to get a divorce. I don’t know what to do anymore. I’m out of answers I’m feeling lost I keep praying but I seen now results. Some one said let her live with bio dad but I’m not sure that’s a good idea A: It is good that his thoughts are Jesus is the answer, but he did mess up by saying he hates her. He should def go apologize to her [a good step] and tell her he will work to do better, as he also now asks her to do too. My recommendation is to go through these areas here that apply both for yourselves as parents and have her go through it too. https://snsanswers.blogspot.com/2023/01/transformed-co...

Christian & Catholic relationship advice

Gf argues w catholics and doesnt know I am catholic.  I really need prayers and advice. It turns the girl I like is actually protestant when I thought she was Catholic (she's ex-Catholic). She has a distrust of and gets upset with Catholics, and she got in an argument with some of my Catholic friends recently, (unaware that I am also Catholic).  Even though I don't like that she believes the Catholic Institution is Pagan, dislikes the Papacy, Rosary, Saint veneration, Canon issues and such), I did find myself taking her side for a moment, as I ironically have issues with some Catholic beliefs. I've only had issues with a few Protestants before, and just dislike conflict between groups that claim they are Christian. My friends were angry with her for rejecting the Catholic Church and were making assumptions about her that I am unhappy with. I just want everyone to get along. I do realize she just wants to do right and as a Christian, should lead people away from any evil ins...

is Soul Tie biblical?

Q: Someone online was talking about "soul tie" and I never heard of that before in all my years in Chruch. What is this about? A: That belief isnt Biblical; subtle doctrines of demons creep up into some churches where Pastors arent vigilant, and make its ways into the beliefs of some, (others are in false churches led by false teachers who lead those churches into unbiblical beliefs).  It is from new age garbage that snuck into churches, where Pastors didn't educate on nor forbid that false message. Soul ties are a new age concept, comes from the "twin flame or karmic love" concept which we know is a counterfeit of the Gospel . This phrase being used seems to come from those who have sex outside marriage in multiple fornicating relationships. Humanly you become one unit, one team when you marry. But your souls are not tied. Your emotions connect you and you bond closer when married. When we die we go our separate ways, if we divorce we go our separate ways. In H...

📖 Where to start reading Bible

Image
Q: I want to read the Bible, where should I start? I am struggling.  A: This can be a big help to you.  Looking at reading the Bible seems daunting, but when you read a big novel or multi volume novel you dont have a problem, same with studying school books. Whether a believer, seeker or curious, you'll learn what God wants you to.  Why do people have a hard time reading the Bible? Is it a lack of actually loving their Savior & God? "Sin will keep you from reading this book and this book will keep you from sin." That is usually always the culprit.  You can begin your life long daily time in the Word, fellowshipping with God starting today: God is pleased with your desire to do this.  📖 Read a print Bible on table in quiet time time with God, & close in prayer. You just have to take a small chunk at a time chipping away day by day. And you need a  plan  in place so you stick with it daily.  Before you get started you might be w...
