Single mom walk and parenting help

Q: I am a young mom of a 1 year old, who turned to Jesus 8 years ago. I made a mistake by having sex before marriage.

I feel like I was doing well going to Sunday School, I used to pray, i stopped doing devotionals and feel lost my direction and do not experience feeling the Holy Spirit. I have attended revivals, went to alter calls and nothing works. It feels like something is missing. I feel like a person who doesnt experience the life of a true believer.

What I have to do in order to get back in line with God's will for my life, and live a Christian life?

A:
When we get saved, it is a one time thing. We trust in God >>because of His written word, not by our feelings. Feelings lie and deceive, but God's Word is truth.

You simply need to be sure you are saved and walk in that assurance, and move forward.

You also have a child and what you did wrong in sex outside of marriage is in the past, if you asked God for forgiveness and put fornication behind you. God gave you a child to raise up in the Lord and the child is your first mission field. And now besides your walk with God, is your priority.

Make sure you really are saved, and that you get educated in the essentials of the faith so you will move on from the "milk" to the "meat" of the what the Scripture teach in/as growing in the faith. "So you are not blown around by every wind of teaching" but know what you should.

You noted you have something missing in life, in prayer and church, and it could be that you need to tighten your parachute and walk with God.

Resources to help you:

Avoid lies about the Holy Spirit
(*see Believers Resources pg 2)

(*see Assurance section pg 2)

That church doesnt sound loving if they are acting perfect and self righteous. Plus, Children are to be embraced by the congregation, to love them and train them up in the Lord. Flee that church.

It is not the child's fault they were born out of wedlock, and you repented of that sin & fornication.
>>I was born to a single mom and the church loved on me thru my grandparents cuz my mom dumped me on them on weekends, no godly home nor influence without them in my life. I was saved because of them others. Your child has you and that's great.

(*go through all this stuff now, to prepare yourself, and to prepare to start educating young, and planning the right timing of all these things In advance to teach at their proper age. Write the plan down in a book by age and implement it).
