God isnt speaking to me.....

Q:How do you handle God not speaking to you? I'm going through the hardest time of my life right now. I've begged and cried out to God to show to me that he's with me, to give me the tiniest sign of hope to hang on to. And I've been met with deafening silence every single time. God has NEVER spoken to me. Not one time, not ever. Never given me a sign of hope. Never shown me he's with me. Never told me to keep going. How do I keep believing in someone who is very clearly ignoring me and has made it extremely obvious that he will continue to do so? A: He does. By the Bible. 😊😊😊✝️ John 14:6: "Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" Hebrews 1:1-2: "In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son."  Philippians 4:6-7: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything b...

Halloween clarity: on curses, deliverance, etc

Q: What do you do with professing believers say/behave like this?  ==== DM:  Her: Christians need to avoid Halloween and holidays cuz I believe they're pagan and Satan's day Me: Idky😅 . But our family doesnt believe that.  Her: I am warning you it is the devil's day  You curse your family for 4 generations by participating My family had to receive deliverance for having participated in the past.  I only listen to Evangelist *****   He is the best of the best  Me: All days belong to Jesus. I dont know who that is and have no intention of listening to him nor taking your word about him. I will listen to my Pastor, who teaches biblical truth.  I lean reformed so we will not agree in some areas, & this is an area of liberty , but also if you are Christian we are to be united in the truths and being about the Lord's work.  Have you heard of John MacArthur, Voddie Baucham, Paul Washer, Martin Luther? ===== I Literally never met this woma...

Jesus Blood and Death

Image
Q: Is it true that John MacArthur did not believe Christ's blood saves and only His death is how we're saved?   A: No, that was a slanderous lie propagated by hyper-fundamentalists. MacArthur denied that the literal blood is literally "what" saved, as if when Scripture says we are sprinkled by His blood (1 Pet. 1:2) that refers to "the fluid itself" coming upon us. Instead, the literal shedding of blood did its saving work by being representative of a substitutionary atonement on behalf of sinners. Humans sin. The wages of sin is death, & after death is only judgment, yet only by man's perfect blood can one be saved, none are perfect but Christ, so his death and resurrection are key in the Gospel which we believe and thus trust in Christ's life, death and resurrection, on our behalf that made us right with God.  Book: The Atonement  JMac on the blood of Christ  See also this topic here.  Related Why preach the Gospel if as some say Je...

Why preach the Gospel if Jesus Atonement covers all people?

Q: Why preach the Gospel if as some say Jesus Atonement covers all people? A: Does his sacrifice cover & save all men?  Such a teaching says "Come to Jesus and trust His blood that covers billions of people currently burning in Hell." Actually it would be better to trust in your own faith since that's what actually makes the difference, not Christ's blood. Of course that understanding is wrong.  By definition universalism/unlimited atonement is inaccurate and unbiblical. Such ideas are to be rejected. We need to be careful here. As noted it is dangerously close to discounting Jesus' blood that needed to be shed for redemption, and it is completely unbiblical if referring to supposed universal atonement. The idea that Jesus shed His blood for people who were already suffering divine wrath means His blood wasn't the difference-maker.  Christ's blood isn't a license to sin but there is application that is required as evidence of true salvation. His S...

Caution on bad influences & pursuing a holy life, does open opps to evangelize

Growing in Faith journey, avoiding bad decisions, caution with "friends", alcohol & unequally yoked friendships. How to use those associations to minister the Gospel & gift gifts that also plant seeds.  Q: Lately, I’ve had something really weighing on my heart. I’m 27 and recently moved back home to be closer to my friends and family, who I haven’t spent much time with in years. I’ve been a Christian all my life and recieved Jesus when I was about 8 years old. I’ve never really been into drinking or going out to bars, but over the past month, I’ve gone out a few times and have gotten drunk twice. I didn’t do anything bad it was mostly just laughing, talking, and making good memories with my friends. Still, I’ve been feeling guilty about it because, while I genuinely enjoyed those moments, part of me worries that I’m not honoring God the way I should. I don’t want to promote drunkenness or make it a habit, but I also don’t want to isolate myself or miss out on time wit...

Need a church in Sweden

A: Is it wrong not to go to church? For context: we live in Sweden and the Swedish church is... well, they join Pride parades, don't do baptism if you were baptised as a child (which for many it doesn't count because they weren't Christians as children), instead of talking about how to become better Christians they talk only about love and acceptance and about some famous person who is a "he/she". Sundays become too political too often. We've tried 3 different churches, but they are all part of the Swedish church, we don't have any church nearby that is not part of the Swedish church😫 My husband and I never felt like we learnt anything after going to church, we felt empty, like we wasted a time that was supposed to be spent with and learning about God. We read the Bible at home, but is it wrong not to go to church? A:Yes it is wrong not to go to church . This explains in depth.  Yes your husband should daily lead the family spiritually in a daily family B...

My husband doesnt help at home, how can I address in a biblical way, so theres change

Q: What is the biblical way to respond when you want your husband to do something or help out more around the house without him saying you are nagging? He says I keep nagging him, but I feel like he says no so often when I ask for help. So I ask again for him to please help me and it eventually leads to why won’t you just help me? And also I hate asking him to do things. I wish he would just do things clearly needing done. Obviously I’m frustrated. He says he feels like I don’t respect when he says no. But I feel like he’s always saying no, and thats not respecting his spouse nor loving.  A: If hes saved he would help, as a servant of Christ & out of love towards God and you. He would always actively by nature be putting God & you first. Those equally yoked are treated equal and serve one another, and as leader sets the godly example. ✝️ If unequally yoked, youre dealing with someone in their sin nature who only does something if they get something out of it (look good to o...

Who is Christian? Here's how we know

Image
Considering leaving protestantism Q: I grew up Protestant, but once I started high school, I began craving the truth. While searching for it, I started researching different religions. I attended an LDS church, but it felt off and strange to me (my friends are members, and I still respect their beliefs). I have thought about visiting an Orthodox or Catholic church, but I don’t know how I feel about praying to saints or angels. I know other people probably feel weird about it too.  I loved the Methodist church I visited, but it still felt off somehow. If I can’t get past the praying thing or something else, I’ll stick with the Methodist church or maybe visit a Lutheran church. I’d really like someone who is Catholic or Orthodox to explain it, because I’ve read Bible verses that support praying for and with saints. Protestant churches often cite 1 Timothy 2:5-6 and Matthew 6:9 as examples of why we shouldn’t pray to saints or angels. I’d appreciate guidance. This has been a tough and...

What is the best gift to desire?

Tongues are not the best gifts.  We are told both that God gives us each a gift that is particular for us, for the wirk of service in the body. Not only do we not all get through same gift, but we are not to desire that gift. It isnt the best one.  In addition, the purpose of Tongues, was to reach Jews (primarily who visited churches), to hear the Gospel in their own language. Whatever nation they were living in or traveling to, where they came upon a church, and out of curiosity [of hearing about Jesus] went in to see what it was about, they would hear the Gospel in their own language.  It has 0 to do with the charlatanery going on today, taught by churches that lie about the Holy Spitit, and cause weak new believers distress abd fear that theyre not saved. Those churches preach a false Gospel and should live in fear of God's judgment falling in them.  The Truth of Tongues In Acts 2, when the Spirit descended (once for all time) to earth, sent by Jesus, at Pentecost...

Believers Questions about Cain

Q: Is it possible Cain was forgiven and saved? Cuz sin requires death, and taking a life requires taking his. But he wasnt killed. I know God marked him for protecting from vigilanty justice (by other siblings or relatives). Maybe it is because how few people were on earth at that time. As God has a purpose for everyone's life, even those who dont get saved.  Looking at this we see.... 1. Cain’s Sin and Its Consequences • Cain killed his brother Abel (Genesis 4:8). • God confronted him, cursed him from the ground, and said he would be a restless wanderer (Genesis 4:11–12). Cain responded: “My punishment is greater than I can bear… whoever finds me will kill me.” (Genesis 4:13–14). This shows fear and despair, but not necessarily repentance.  Even Judas had earthly sorrow, he didn't have a humble contrite heart that led to salvation. He just couldn't live with what he did.  2. The Mark of Cain • Genesis 4:15 – “Then the LORD said to him, ‘Not so! If anyone kills Cain, veng...
