Halloween clarity: on curses, deliverance, etc
Q: What do you do with professing believers say/behave like this?

You curse your family for 4 generations by participating
My family had to receive deliverance for having participated in the past.
I only listen to Evangelist *****

I dont know who that is and have no intention of listening to him nor taking your word about him. I will listen to my Pastor, who teaches biblical truth.
I lean reformed so we will not agree in some areas, & this is an area of liberty, but also if you are Christian we are to be united in the truths and being about the Lord's work.
Have you heard of John MacArthur, Voddie Baucham, Paul Washer, Martin Luther?

I Literally never met this woman, nor interacted online. She dm'd me telling me to not do halloween. Idk where she saw my post (my profile or in a group?). She's judging me saying I'm "cursing" my family by participating in trick or treating while handing out Gospel tracts, and saying I "need deliverance".
Then she proceeds to send me like 26 videos of some self proclaimed "Evangelist" she follows.
I wish I could just roll my eyes and move on but truth is, I've spiraled because of things like this before (fearful to do something that would jeopardize salvation).
Sometimes I wonder if it's the Holy Spirit (guiding) or things I've seen online that are falae/ear based as to my decisions. It's confusing sometimes ✨️
And believe me I think its perfectly understandable to want to forgo pagan side of "Halloween" 🎃, but to assume I am a lesser Christian than her (or unsaved) is where I see an issue.
Advice? Encouragement? Just trying not to let legalism sleep into my heart like it has in the past ❤️.
A: First, salvation has 0 to do with you. God saves and God converts folk. Your salvation isnt dependent on you doing things, but solely based on trusting fully in Jesus (He did all required by God to save you, and salvation is permanent; he bought you). Being reformed leaning (🎉) you'll now know this ❤️✨️ 😊✝️.
Second, everyone in Christian spaces online are not saved. It's not a good place to be if you're not mature in the Faith, to discern and respond accordingly. It is right to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit, but also test all spirits and things said by the Word, so we align all matters to biblical truth, and can discern if its demonic lies.
Next, Every year we see decievers hop online & in "Christian" groups to sow discord and try to stop God's work. Many slide in DMs too, to try to get you to stop. It's spiritual warfare. Preying on the naive and to decieve.
Such people are very unknowledgable about these matters, as new & weak believers [who fall prey to it] or as folk [like her] in false churches under false teaching propagating fear & being judgmental, trying to prevent Light shining in the dark (as with every other day). They fear Satan, not God, and just need educating. If they reject what you say (clearly laying out biblical truth and evangelistic clarity), then avoid them. Theyre blinded by whats ungodly due to idolatry or a fleshly issue, and are not open to correction nor education like Apollos was. No Christian should discourage using that day for evangelism. Besides it LITERALLY being Reformation Day, (and National Evangelism Day) 🙃🙄. Every day belongs to God [as you well infirmed her], and we are to proclaim the Gospel to the World. 160k people die every day. Are we not derelict if not witnessing on that day 160k perish? Don't let Satan decieve you, continue doing what God called us to do. Just as we would on 09/10/01, without knowing 4k people would be perishing in World Trade Center towers within a few hours/ the next day due to Islamic terrorists evil deeds.
As to the other "claims" she made [to cause you fear & distrust God's Word], those arent about salvation deliverance. It's mystical nonsense of false teachings, rooted in fear; as theyre not trusting in God and His Sovereignty.
Anyone saying "deliverance" & "curses" type wordings are in false religion, so simply 1. speak truth, and then 2.mark & avoid [& 3. block], and 4. Pray.
Plus the fact that she says she only listens to 1 "evangelist" and points you to unbiblical people [and cant make valid arguments from Scripture (in context)] is a red flag. This is a slippery slope & cult like behavior. She's highly likely not in a biblical nor local church and is of the ear ticklers, feeds her delusions. Might likely not even be saved and is used by demons to decieve and dissuade believers from proclaiming the Gospel. You: Use discernment. Follow Christ, obey the Great Commission, try to educate, and rebuke those who are in idolatry who reject truth & continue to push doctrines of demons.

If they ignore it or reject it, that's between them and God. Simply block them if they are not open (to be biblically enlightened & discipled in truth), & are trying to cause problems by pushing unbiblical views. Then pray for them, and move on.
