Baptized in Holy Spirit? *

What does it mean to be baptized in the Holy Spirit? I thought it was the moment you decided to give your life to Christ (John 1:29-34). However, I heard someone ask another "if they have been baptized in the Holy Spirit" KNOWING they already had gave their life to Christ, and that threw me off.  A: A secondary filling or empowering is a false teaching, due to misunderstanding Scripture, and false preachers use it to try to push some special thing to gain followers, and decieve people. Avoid anyone who holds that belief, they are decieved and deceiving others, act superior and self righteous. Attention seekers who 99% are not Christian. This new belief began in 1906 and intentionally uses an incorrect interpretation of Scripture. I would say it was started by a cult leader. It isnt biblical nor does it manifest as from God. Scripture says test the spirits, and use discernment.  To be baptized in the Holy Spirit means to be immersed, filled, and empowered by the Spirit of God...

Suffering Examination & Guiding Question list

Here is a self-examination questionnaire to help a believer wrestling with a category of hardship, align biblically minded and move forward while trusting God. They reflect a high view of God’s sovereignty, His preserving grace, and the believer’s secure redemption in Christ. 1. When You Are Suffering Purpose: To help you interpret suffering through God’s character, promises, and purposes. Questions: • Do I remember that my deepest need—reconciliation with God—has already been secured for me in Christ? • Am I viewing this suffering as something outside God’s wise and loving providence, or as something He has allowed for my good? • What specific promises of God am I forgetting or neglecting right now? • Is this suffering drawing me toward prayer, dependence, and humility, or am I resisting His comfort? • Has this season revealed any area where I’ve been trusting in myself instead of resting in Christ? • Where can I trace evidence of God sustaining me—even in ways I didn’t notice at firs...

Biblical Christian Ai tools

Today believers need to be careful what sources & tools they use because worldly tech fed secular database sets and secular sites online... so we need to use Christian ai tools so we know it is reliable. One tool is  Answers in Genesis Ai chat .  It can pull up Bible verses and articles and resources from the site. It has topic answers related to Genesis 1-11 (which covers all of the Bible, and deals with athiesm, creation, and woke/feminist issues of today). Their chat bot activates when you log in, and all you say stays in that chat history.  Logos  has a Ai now that is robust that you can use. ⭐️ It is a long known reliable company. It has been around since 1992, and I used it as early as 2002. It has improved over time and is a very good software. It has loads of books, and resources, but it now has Ai and recently added Apologetical helps, so you can get solid research to help you as you study, meditate, think through questions biblically, and guides you....

Guiding a former Catholic looking to return to Faith

Q: Beginning my journey into Christianity (leaning towards Catholicism) after straying from my faith path.  One of the reasons I left was a resentment towards the religion because I felt it was misogynistic. I confused cultural norms at the time not looking to Scripture & it coming from God himself. I felt that all the mysoginistic things I had read into in 1 Timothy 2:12-13  meant God felt we were less than and inferior in all ways- this made me feel like it was impossible to love him if he felt so little about me.  One thing that will help me rekindle my relationship is learning the value in women, that we arent less than, and that he does in fact love us. We arent inferior and that we have a purpose. If I can learn this, I know the rest will follow for me easier because this was one of the top things for me.  A: The world decieves and distorts the truth, taught that in culture and in todays atheistic anti-God public school systems & perpetuated more by eve...

Q on Laura Doyle's book The Empowered Wife & other helpful books

Should you read & take advice from Laura Doyle's book The Empowered Wife? And, What other better books can help? In short: I did  not  find any indication that The Empowered Wife by Laura Doyle is endorsed by solid biblical churches nor widely accepted within conservative Christian theological circles. What I found suggests a mixed reception, with  implications  you should evaluate if you are reading or recommending it. Here’s a breakdown: ✅ What the book does The Empowered Wife is positioned as marketed as a Christian-friendly marriage-help book: it uses Christian  language  and targets “women who want to build a joyful, intimate marriage.”  It offers six “Intimacy Skills” for wives: e.g., self-care, relinquishing unhealthy control, respect, receiving, vulnerability, gratitude.  Some Christian women (outside solid biblical churches) report having found benefit from the book or its principles.  ⚠️ What raises caution from a biblical/theol...

Grace Curriculum

Grace Curriculum This is a solid course that covers what kids need to know. For preschool to 6th grade. It includes everything you need, so you dont need to run around or try to reinvent Sunday School or home family Bible hour [depending on which you use it for].  About the Curriculum  On Grace Curriculum... The program teaches the same curriculum to the different age groups, progressively getting more in-depth as the student matures. The goal is to reinforce and expound upon the Scriptures more fully as the student develops in age. The curriculum is designed to be reused for years. Understanding the Nine Year Cycle :  The term refers to a comprehensive framework. 1. **Three-Year Curriculum Structure:**    - Consists of **three distinct years** of curriculum development. Each year focuses on different themes and concepts from the Bible, designed to cater to different age groups. 2. **Repetitive Learning Over Nine Years:**    - The curriculum is struct...

Is having doubts wrong? Is asking Qs wrong?*

No. Christianity is a evidence based faith and we trust based on that truth of it.  To know truth we need to know Scripture. Since it takes a long time to know Scripture, how else will we know unless we ask sbout it. Or at the very least "accelerate" our learning by gaining more clarity on a matter by asking questions.  Also, "Doubts drive us to find answers". While these may not always be true doubts, they signal a desire for clarity which once achieved strengthens and solidifies your faith, (making it unshakeable). You know Christianity is true; even if you struggle to articulate it, but by exploring areas more deeply it will reinforce your convictions.  Questions are good, it helps you learn and firm up areas you were weak in or needed to understand better. Always ask questions, if you dont you cant learn, grow and mature in the Faith. If you hold back your questions or feel dumb, it might be pride, and that seeks to stunt your growth. So, humbly just ask. 🙂 Rem...

Ministering to a friend on Concubines/OT

OT, Concubines, & the righteous of God ? Q: In discussing Christianity with a friend, I was asked "when did concubines stop, why, and where did it change to one wife..was this old testament vs new testament. Was marriage viewed differently in the old testament than the new testament?" See this is not something I ever thought on. I did tell my friend "I would ask and try to search the Scriptures... but if she has a conviction about anything to pray and read her Bible to see what she can come up with." I then searched the Scriptures but found nothing as to when concubines ended or the why, or if marriage is viewed differently in the old testament.  I need Scripture, I need that bc I feel she is struggling with this, and really is seeking answers. She's in a valley in her life ,and her husband has chosen paths that shes trying to believe is okay. She's very aware how I stand on marriage, and she knows im praying for her . Maybe answers from Scripture wou...
