Love isn't feelings based

Q: I learned today that love isn't a feeling as any feelings of love can be gone any time, and so how we all view love as a world is the reason we doubt God's faithfulness on loving us as soon as we sin.......Now I know that it's never about that and if we understand that pretty well we won't be hateful to others who did us wrong and it will be easier for us to forgive and love unconditionally like our God does for us.  A: It the right sense its Correct. Love is humility in action and leads to selfless service. It's why those saved posess the Holy Spirit, being born again, have a new nature and thus brethren, husbands and wives can love each other as Christ loves the church. It's why we can forgive small offenses (all offenses) in light of the greatest offense of our sins (which God forgave us of in Jesus). True Love isn't the Greco- Roman type love that's based on feelings and lust. True love is as God loves. But it is also an active choice, and in a ma...

Is God Glorified When People Go to Hell?

A: Yes, because God's justness and holiness is on display; which is equally compatable with all of who He is. To explain further the below article reposted and following resources will help you understand this well.  Is God Glorified When People Go to Hell? GOD IS ALL ABOUT HIS GLORY I was asked if God is glorified when people are sent to hell. We live in a society with high ideals and cannot understand how can a good God send anyone to suffer for eternity? We cannot fathom it, so it cannot be true. As soon as you think that you fully understand God and all of his ways, he ceases to be God and becomes an idol of your own making. God is always bigger than we can know. That is what makes him God. To answer this question correctly, we need to look at who God is and why people would go there according to the Bible and not opinion. The answer is that yes, God is glorified when people are sent to hell because it uplifts who he is. It may not be popular today, but the Bible clearly teache...

Did Pharoah desire Sarah by miracle?

Q: Is it biblical or reasonable to believe God made Sarah beautiful, in some miraculous way in her old age, so Pharoah desired her?  No. Its a far fetch thought that has no biblical basis to back it up. In fact it would insinuate God "caused" Pharoah to do evil, if we consider such "miracle". And we know God never does evil, and wouldn't create a miracle to do such a thing.   Further, while the Bible does not provide specific ages for Sarah at the time Pharaoh took her, we know it was before she had Issac. Thus we dont know how young she was at the time of her taking. Sarah was taken by Pharaoh in Egypt (Genesis 12:10-20) and later by Abimelech, the king of Gerar (Genesis 20:1-18). According to Genesis 17:17, Sarah was 90 years old when she gave birth to Isaac. However, the exact age of Sarah at the time she was taken by Pharaoh is not explicitly stated in the text.  Flood to Abraham is often considered to be around 292 years, so considering the Canopy theory, e...

Q on Cremation

Ashes Cremation? Q: My Dad passed away last year. He donated his body to science and we’re just now getting his ashes back within the next couple months. I was wanting to keep some but I’m being told it’s bad to keep them in your house?  A: I only see in Scripture that the bones of the dead were moved to proper burial places.  I see nothing of cremation, nor keeping the ashes. However we know that 1. We [the body] return to dust. And 2. Babies & Christians who were burned by evil people and religions (even those they dug up long after dead, and then burned) are still going to be brought back; God will resurrect the dirt/dna/particles of those bodies that died, to reunite with their soul and be transformed into a new eternal body of glory -fit for eternity. Those who were not saved but died in their sins will be Resurrected to Judgment and recieve a body fit for damnation.  So when we die we return to dust, cremation does that fast vs naturally over time. The soul goe...

Need to understand God, & grow in faith

Idk much about the Bible and I'm embarrassed. I have so many questions and I feel like the devil is trying to stop me from learning.  Its my first time reading the Bible, and I've run into a perception and assumption issue. I always pictured God as gentle and soft spoken. As I'm reading in Matthew, God seems angry, alot. And little mean with His words. Someone said that He can get frustrated when people don't have faith in him. I just never pictured him saying that. My MIL said He speaks to you how you need to be spoken to. Idk my heart breaks because I fear God I can cry thinking about getting closer to Him because I'm scared. He isn't what I thought even though I knew there's so much more to Him... if that makes sense? The beginning of this year I craved for the Word. The more I read, the more fear that I get. When ever I have doubt, I just pray. But now I'm thinking He's like you fool how dare you question Me. I haven't told anyone the last pa...

God's voice or My voice?

Q: What is the best way to distinguish God’s voice vs your own voice/not His voice? I struggle to know if my little voice in my head is of God or me. I fear that I am claiming a voice to be God’s when it’s not, or brushing off His voice as incorrect due to fear, disbelief, etc.  What does Scripture tells us on this, or how to hear His voice more clearly? Also, I wish I could understand more when some say “God told me x, y, z…” A: These are good questions and these videos snd resources can help. Differentiate your voice from God's  Diff btwn God's voice & your thoughts   How does God speak to you ? As to people claiming God speaks to them audibly, in signs or visions etc...  Does God speak outside the Word ? God speaking to me ? Hearing God, knowing his will & praying right Do people really hear Jesus voice ? Comment:  I had a grandmother who was severely mentally ill who would do this, and my parents are also guilty of doing this. I have never seen an ad...

Guidance to reach someone in New Age

Q: Can you all please put my husband on your prayer list? He's gone from being a Christian to the New Age, and it breaks my heart. I don't really feel like there's anything I can say to change his mind. He's done a deep dive for maybe 6 years now and spends a lot of money and time on it. I've prayed so many prayers for God to deliver him from the deception, for him to know the truth and be set free. A: I would guide him to and through resources here in conversations, including have him look at these 4 videos  that investigate Christianity.  Aldo see Melissa Douhgerty  videos on yt, she came out of it and may help him. She has a new book too. Tell him to look up Doreen Virtue and you go through her stuff too. She was strongly into the New Age and now she’s a born again Christian and she is speaking against the New Age. She even wrote books about it and she apologized to everyone who read her books and got her cards [that she made up. It was some kind of angel cards ...

Beware of "Christian" music today

Long gone are the days where America was a Christian nation and both any church or Christian thing (books, music, etc) would be biblically aligned. It pretty much has to be examined and investigated since 2005 till now.  More on Music matters YHWH is our Creator and only God. This has been clear from Genesis at the very beginning. The whole Holy Bible Scriptures are YHWH speaking to us, revealing Himself to us, and about Him and mankind. And He will nor give us His glory. Her lyrics are arrogant and saying as if she's in control of God or above him. Isaiah 42:8 says "I am Yahweh, that is My name; I will not give My glory to another, Nor My praise to graven images [false gods]." Isaiah 43:10-11 : "You are my witnesses,” declares Yahweh, “and my servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me. 1 I, even I, am Yahweh, and apart from me there is no savior. 2 C...
