Did Pharoah desire Sarah by miracle?

Q: Is it biblical or reasonable to believe God made Sarah beautiful, in some miraculous way in her old age, so Pharoah desired her?

No. Its a far fetch thought that has no biblical basis to back it up. In fact it would insinuate God "caused" Pharoah to do evil, if we consider such "miracle". And we know God never does evil, and wouldn't create a miracle to do such a thing.

Further, while the Bible does not provide specific ages for Sarah at the time Pharaoh took her, we know it was before she had Issac. Thus we dont know how young she was at the time of her taking.

Sarah was taken by Pharaoh in Egypt (Genesis 12:10-20) and later by Abimelech, the king of Gerar (Genesis 20:1-18). According to Genesis 17:17, Sarah was 90 years old when she gave birth to Isaac. However, the exact age of Sarah at the time she was taken by Pharaoh is not explicitly stated in the text.

Flood to Abraham is often considered to be around 292 years, so considering the Canopy theory, everyone likely looked young into old age and their body also was not as advanced as it is for us today; we fall apart by 50😅. And by old I mean like very old. She lived to 127. Abraham lived 175 years. It's possible those who "lived" not far from the Flood era could in fact retain beauty and youthful looks into an older age. She was called beautiful.

So if Pharoah took her it was possibly around 60 age. We aren't told Pharoahs age so he may be around same age as her or older and saw her as youthful and beautiful features, which made him desire her. We cant make leaps to "miracles" of looks since only the birth was told to be miraculous, not her looks. We cant jump to such conclusion. But we can take it at face value that she was pretty, since Scripture clearly tells us. Most women who are beautiful, retain thst beauty into old age. I've seen 70 and 90 year olds who are very pretty.

Genesis 12 to Gen 21 can cover a long period of time, and by some timelines its typically understood to span about 25 years, thesacredcalendar.com notes in Gen 12 she was 65.

As to the contents, we just have to believe Scripture as it records these truths of history. He saw her, desired her and took her. And the rest is as Scripture says.
