Love isn't feelings based

Q: I learned today that love isn't a feeling as any feelings of love can be gone any time, and so how we all view love as a world is the reason we doubt God's faithfulness on loving us as soon as we sin.......Now I know that it's never about that and if we understand that pretty well we won't be hateful to others who did us wrong and it will be easier for us to forgive and love unconditionally like our God does for us.

A: It the right sense its Correct.
Love is humility in action and leads to selfless service. It's why those saved posess the Holy Spirit, being born again, have a new nature and thus brethren, husbands and wives can love each other as Christ loves the church. It's why we can forgive small offenses (all offenses) in light of the greatest offense of our sins (which God forgave us of in Jesus).

True Love isn't the Greco- Roman type love that's based on feelings and lust. True love is as God loves.

But it is also an active choice, and in a marriage covenant it's all the above which God uses to grow us in sanctification, into maturity in the Faith.
