Did you forget you were bought by Christ?

●Why did you come to Christ?
●What were you saved from?
●Who were we saved to?
●What is our purpose here?

Is it to live for yourself, or to serve the one who bought you? To follow your sinful fleshly nature that was crucified with Christ or to follow the new righteous nature and be conformed to Christlikeness?

Galatians 3:13:
"Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us

1 Peter 1:18-19:
"Knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot."

Titus 2:14: "Who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works."

Ephesians 2:10:
"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."

Colossians 1:13-14: "He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins."

Ephesians 1:7: "In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace."

Galatians 2:20: "I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."

Romans 8:29: "For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son 👈

1 Corinthians 6:20: "For you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body."

So many professing believers dont seem to understand why they came to Christ. Did they understand the Gospel they claimed to have received? Do they understand the basics of Christianity required to obey the Gospel? Did they count the cost? Did they even surrender their lives to Christ, or are they in idolatry as a false convert, (still in their sins, and hellbound)?

Scripture calls us to examine ourselves to ensure we are saved. This doesn't mean we can lose our salvation, its saying make sure you were ever saved. If saved, then its an eternal salvation. If not saved, get right with God immediately. Then go live for Christ; go serve your King. And await His call to Heaven.

If Jesus is your "Lord Savior", pick up your cross and follow Him.

Mark 8:34: "And calling the crowd to him with his disciples, he said to them, 'If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.'"

Matthew 16:24: "Then Jesus told his disciples, 'If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.'"

Luke 14:27: "Whoever does not bear his own cross and come after me cannot be my disciple."

●Where did Jesus cross take him?
●Where did the Apostles?
●Where will yours if you follow Him?

Colossians 3:3–4 — “For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God.”

“For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.” Philippians 1:21

Romans 14:8 — “If we live, we live for the Lord; if we die, we die for the Lord.”

2 Corinthians 5:17: "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come."

John 14:15: "If you love me, you will keep my commandments."

Matthew 22:37-40:
"And he said to him, 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets."

John 13:34-35:
"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this, all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another."

Romans 8:1-2:
"There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death."

Galatians 5:22-23:
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law."

The fact that God saved you who were a hellbound sinner, and transformed you, that is all you need. You're glorybound! That's the best news in the world. No matter what comes in this life, you've got eternal life.

God is for you, with you and will accomplish His plans through you.

Romans 8:31: "What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?"

Isaiah 41:10:
"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

Romans 8:31-39:
"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?"

"For neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Proverbs 19:21:
"Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand."

Genesis 50:20: "As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good

Romans 8:28: "And we know that for those who love God, all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose."

2 Corinthians 1:3-4: "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction

Nothing man can do will thwart God's plan for our life. God is soverign. Man cant do anything God doesnt allow. Satan cant do anything God doesnt allow. Be boldly confident that God will prosper what you do for Him, in accordance to His will. If it is to further the Kingdom of God by being a faithful servant of Christ, proclaiming the Good news by the Great Commission, and if in line with His will, plan and works he has for you to do, them it be done.

Matthew 7:7:
"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you."

John 14:13-14:
"Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it."

Matthew 6:10:
"Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven."

Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding."

Romans 12:2:
"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."

Is this clear for you now?

It is a high cost and a high calling. How amazing to be redeemed by the Lord Jesus.

You are am ambassador of Christ, a priest, a Saint, a Herald of the Gospel of Salvation, a servant of the Only & Most High God.

I hope it has been so helpful and blessed and encouraged you. Don't have the mind of those perishing. Don't be double minded, nor lukewarm. Know Scripture, get equipped in the Gospel, and be about your Masters business. A faithful servant. Focus your life on Christ, store up treasure in Heaven, and be forward looking to being with your Savior in eternity. The bridegroom will return soon.

“His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will put you in charge of many things. Enter into the joy of your master.’
Matthew 25:21

This should be your deepest hearts desire. Believers long to hear Jesus say this. May he do so to you too when he returns or calls you home.
