Lukewarm, Spiritual dryness, salvation concern
Q: I’m feeling anxious and scared right now. I’ve seen heard of Christians talking about how once saved always saved but others say if you believe in Jesus, he will save you. I don’t mean like just saying the words, I meant if you really mean it.
There are some days, like today where I’m just not “feeling it.” I know we shouldn’t base things on our emotions. With everything going on in the world, it’s just scary. I know Jesus tells us not to fear but it’s hard for me. I want to have a relationship with him, not out of fear of going to hell but out of respect and love for Him because He loves me. How do I do that? Any prayer and advice would be greatly appreciated.
A: Well its right for both.
1. We are called obey the Gospel because God calls us to in love, and to flee the wrath to come. It calls us away from Hell and to restoration and right relation with God.
2. If you believe [in the real God, Jesus & Gospel; per Scripture] you are saved. If saved = always saved.

If your concerned about your salvation, Scripture says to self examine. 🙂 This can help.
The fact that your concerned is good. Just get the matter settled.
You still care about your faith but doesn’t feel the usual connection, consolation, or presence yiu once did. It’s different from apathy because the desire is still there. Youre experiencing spiritual dryness. It happens when your not walking daily; reading and praying, so you live out your faith.
Go through these after the above, to help.
These are Resources for Believers to help guide into an active faith, living it out, and growing into maturity.
When you feel like you do today, pick up the Bible and read the Psalms or Ephesians or Acts. Keep persevering. 🙂
Paul said in Philippians 3:13-14 “…Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”
God bless
