Why Christians cannot affirm sin
Christians are not to affirm lgbt+ sin, nor be pressured by children of Satan (nor subtle doctrines if demons) to embrace it.
Christians are not to lie by affirming someone's sinful choices or relationships, or altered pronouns, nor to cowardly cater to such as if it is truth or loving. It isnt true nor loving to do so. But Satan and his children will do all they can on a personal level or try to force you to comply to such lies by legislation. We are to obey God over man.
Opinions & feelings are subjective. Truth is not subjective, but objective, and Christians are never to lie or affirm sin, even under pressure—whether personal, cultural, or legal. Scripture is clear that we must obey God rather than man, and that true love never affirms what God condemns.
1. Exodus 20:16 – The 9th Commandment
"You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor."
This command prohibits all forms of lying, including false representation of others. Referring to someone by an untrue identity (such as affirming gender confusion) is bearing false witness.
Isaiah 5:20
“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness…”
This is a strong warning against moral inversion—exactly what happens when sin is affirmed under the guise of compassion or social progress. Calling sin “love” is condemned here.
Acts 5:29
“But Peter and the apostles answered, ‘We must obey God rather than men.’”
In the face of coercive authorities, the early Church stood firm in truth. This verse is a clear mandate: When government or culture contradicts God's Word, God's authority is supreme.
2 Corinthians 13:8
“For we cannot do anything against the truth, but only for the truth.”
Christians are bound to uphold truth—not merely what is culturally accepted or emotionally convenient. Affirming someone's sin is doing something against the truth.
Galatians 1:10
“For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.”
You cannot faithfully serve Christ and affirm the world’s lies. Trying to please man through compromise is incompatible with discipleship.
Ephesians 5:11
“Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.”
Christians are not called to neutrality or silent tolerance of sin—we are to refuse participation and expose lies, not affirm them.
Leviticus 19:17
“You shall not hate your brother in your heart, but you shall reason frankly with your neighbor, lest you incur sin because of him.”
To stay silent or affirm sin is not love—it’s hatred masquerading as kindness. Love speaks the truth.
Romans 1:24–25
"Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity…
because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator…”
This highlights the root issue of all sin and rebellion: exchanging truth for lies. Christians must not participate in, affirm, or accommodate these lies.
John 17:17
“Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.”
God’s Word—not cultural consensus—is our standard for truth. Christians are set apart by their commitment to it, even when it’s unpopular.
2 Timothy 3:12–13
“Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.”
Christians should expect pressure to conform, even legally. Those who walk in lies will continue to deceive others and demand that you join in their deception. We are told to endure persecution, not compromise.
Matthew 10:28
“And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.”
Fear of man is a trap (Proverbs 29:25), but fear of God keeps us faithful to truth, even under threat.
