Answering horiscope convos?
Q: As Christians how should we personally answer when people ask us our horoscope sign? Today at work my coworker was training me and he asked me and I kind of choked up, i was caught off guard. I didn’t want to make it awkward either. I should have just said I don’t believe in it and left it at that (but he was training 1 other staff with me).
I just said I haven’t looked at that zodiac stuff in a while but I was born in (month), and he asked what would that be, and sigh I just gave him the sign... and while flustered I asked for his his super fast after. 😞 I wish I just said I don’t believe in it but it felt like it went so fast i couldn’t really think of what to say. I felt bad after too as I shouldn’t have asked him his 🤦🏽♀️.
A: I had that asked before too, and in an off guard situation. Satan is sneaky like that. As we mature and encounter it, we will he prepared for next time.
Just say "Oh, my sign is Jesus 🙂. My faith is in God who is soverign and he guides me, & provides all for my today and tomorrow. Do you know my Jesus?" .... And use that to open a Gospel convo.
*You could even *add on* to it, by asking if they'd like "to talk about it/Christianity over lunch?"- which lets you have time to casually yet actually dive into the Gospel message. And if they reject it, let them know you'd "be happy to answer any of their related questions any time, over a break or lunch, and theyre welcome to join you at church anytime too".
With all these signs stuff...don't go on the trail they're leading you on, and for their ulterior motive. They live in sin and deception, and think others are on that same [satanic path] mindset.
Theyre using it/trying to find compatibility, (just like enngram thing and mtbi) or to gossip about you. All which are wrong, like the signs stuff. Sin is all they know so that "type of Q" has either seeped into the culture or has become something ingrained in it, thus is normalized convo among the unsaved, unaware.
I had a company dept gathering thing where they had everyone in a big room to decide your mtib to learn about & try to understand each other. [1,000 peoppe memorizing how to specially interact with one another, is insane. Likd pronouns thing became for those who capitualted to it]. But its all wrong, I wouldn't participate today based on what was going on in that worldly team building "training". We can find strengths and weaknesses for business skills, communicating, conflict, and growth areas by other means and by experiences the longer we are in business, and by going to business classes for that and social skills improvements [abd Christian ones]. Same with believers via the Scriptures being guided in all areas of life [& business] by the Holy Spirit. We can do both and see it in right ways, to live it out in whole. Those in the world lack that and fill it with all kinds of doctrines of demons to fill the void/lack of spiritual life.
Swing the convo to Christ. And at least they know your Christian. But that also means they'll watch how your life witness is, from behavior, to speech, to how you handle things, to see if you're indeed following Christ [by their false perception even], and that includes what you say, how you say it, and how you forgive, show grace, loving kindness, etc towards others. And the fruit you show will draw them to Christ, or keep them from Him. So do your best, and also... work as unto the Lord. No frustration, bitterness, discontentment or disappointment attitudes, no gossip either. God directs, allows, leads etc for all things that go on. He uses the evil actions & thinking of the unsaved to bring zbout His will, plan and purpose in your life. Be content even if they do you wrong, or let you go unjustly. God is moving you on. And like Joseph or Deborah, He will put you in positions he wants you, and give you more responsibility in some cases once you've been faithful with little. Again, it is based on where God wants you. So dont have a wrong understanding thinking if you do good, you'll move up or make more $. It is all based on each situation, job, location, your purpose in God having grown you there, as a witness [who also earns an income there].
You want to be a good representative, ambassador, minister, witness for Christ to the best if your ability, and cognizant and sensitive to that, every day on the job,... and also in daily life.
