Not going to church
Are there any legitimate reasons not going to church? Or not being part of "organized" religion?
You might think you are fine doing solo Christianity, even using tools and resources produced by others, such as sermons online, or helps published by Pastors, but theyre whom God gifted the Church - for their local church. While its nice since the printing press and digital era that these have been made available outside the pastors church...its a supplement to not a substitition for you being in a local congregation.
Is the real core reason you dont go to church and haven't joined one... because you dont want to be accountable for your sins (?); (as the Shepherds there guide you into holy living). Or is it because you dont read the Bible and therefore genuinely dont understand why you are to be in the congregation, gathering every Lord's Day and active in that community?
God has show us in OT by the temple & synagogues and worship he desires & accepts from what goes on there, as well as in the NT with the churches. We are called to not forsake the assembling, whether in regular or persecution times.
The Holy Scripture was given by God, God breathed and is the guide for our life. We cannot ignore some areas just to go about things our own way. You are either following Jesus in obedience to biblical teaching or your living in idolatry going your own way.
I highly recommend, exhort and admonished you to read Scripture on this, and get to a solid Bible focused church near you to join and get discipled and serve with the gift God gave you.
You are meant to be in the church if you are saved, as you have a place and purpose there in the body of Christ.
God bless

Obviously if your bedridden, have a true injury preventing, or elderly in convalescent, then its a season you cant be there, but you would be a member of one and have home visits by the leaders & members (getting helps, fellowship and spiritual care).
