What comes after salvation?

Q: I was having a huge discussion with my Sister in Christ weeks ago and I said “ it’s like everyone says they believe in Jesus but what comes after that?” She said “Exactly! that’s what I want to know. “ So my question today is What comes after your belief in Jesus? Because it’s not enough to just say you believe, cuz the Bible says in James 2 : 19 “You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that and shudder. “ 

A: There's a diff between belief and trust. 

For humans the offer of salvation was made as we were made in God's Image, and to fellowship with Him. For the Angels, they are servants only. Even the Fallen ones (now called Satan and the demons) having been in Heaven, believe cuz had seen the triune God, and served Him. But there's no hope for them. God still uses them to bring sbout His plan and Will. They only desire to do evil, and God uses them like puppets; only allowing requests that align with the good outcome. Remember Genesis 50:20 revealed this in that what they meant evil against him, but God used it for good. 

When we obey the Gospel, God causes us to be born again. It means he gives us spiritual life, he transforms us into a new creation, and we have new desires that are in line with who man was when he made us in His image before the Fall. Its like a restoration. We wont be perfect until we leave this sin stained body, but we grow to be more like Christ as we mature in the Faith. We have the righteous nature of Christ so we live out the Communicable attributes in progressive growing ways into maturity.

This can explain of the communicable attributes.

Basically God makes us new, gives us a righteous heart that desires to live rightly. So we can live out our design and purpose, as we were designed to in Eden: Living a holy life and in fellowship with God.
