Unanswered Prayers & faltering Faith

Upset over Unanswered Prayers & leading to faltering Faith

Q: I am just really angry right now. Angry at God. I have a lot going on in my life right now. And I was talking to someone on the phone about it. And before I hung up the phone I said God please listen to my prayer. Stop turning your back on me. And the person prayed for me.

Well he didn't listen to that prayer. I told God that if he's going to turn his back on me then I'll turn my back on him. I told him it's a waste of time praying and reading the bible. Because he doesn't show up for me instead he makes my life harder.

A: That's not a godly way of thinking.

This might be a clear indicator that perhaps you never understood God, the world in reality and Christianity.

If you would allow me to kindly share something, I do believe it helps...

As we know God created the world perfect, including man made in His Imsge, who possessed spiritual life and had a righteous nature that lived out the Communicable attributes of God in their design, it's why Scripture tells us that God Law is written on our hearts. The morals man was designed with, came from God.

But then man sinned, the Fall happened, corruption entered creation, and man died spiritually (Genesis 2:16-17) and likewise because of sin (Rom 3:23) man would also die physically. So the world has been is messed up since. Billions of people sinned daily across the planet and do to this day.

Corrupted creation also has happened, and plunged the animsls and creation into what they didnt deserve too. But the world and life therefore is full of struggles, trials, pain, disease, illness, deformity, and daily suffering etc. Our suffering doesn't end when we become Christian. While this world is created by God and He is soverign over all, the Satanic system is in a way ruling the world and is why Scripture says he is the god or ruler of this world. Because he decieved man in Eden...evil entered the world. So Christians have suffering that's common to all men (1 Cor 10:13) we experience more as believers as the world system and those [outside Christ] trapped in it are at enmity towards God and Jesus followers, so we experience more situations than the unsaved.

Also God allows it directs things to take place in a believers life so we cling closer to God, grow closer to Him, trust and rely on Him, knowing He will help us and walk with us through it to strengthen our faith, to grow snd mature us and to prune us of self and fleshly so we become more like Christ.

When somethings going on, God is up to something, and we should daily be in the Word, and be Godward minded and Christ centered in our life, so we can watch, act and adjust to go where He is taking us. It can be for maturity, it can be to discipline us, or be a witness, or to lead us to witness to someone. Whatever it is, it's end goal brings glory to God.

God isnt a genie who grants our wishes as we seek to pursue selfish sinful desires and things. That's not what prayer is for. Its to align us to His Will, and seek after Him, not be us focused.

Our salvation and faith have nothing to do with life problems; in that our salvation is not dependant on it. Its more like we can go through life problems cuz God is with us, and as our Creator and adopted loving Father He has our best in mind, despite us living in a Fallen wild, till he leads us into eternity where these things won't ever be a problem again.

We love and trust God, and hes with us in the midst of the storms. And yes while I love the Lord for what He done in saving me, I'm owed nothing. Even if God didn't save me or any human...He is worthy to be worshipped, obeyed, revered etc because he is God our Creator.

I hope that helps.

Here's some resources to look into to correct your thinking and understanding more, so you can conform to in-line with what is true and right on this topic. And some helps fir assisting snd guiding you to mature more in the Faith, to bless you.

Beyond these, set up a meeting for counseling with your Pastor to help you in areas you need a bit more discipleship. We should never try to do things on our own, without receiving solid godly counsel on a matter.

on Suffering. Life in a Fallen world corrupted by sin, is better with God by our side. Those outside of Christ have no help and no hope.

Consider Jacob's life When we wrestle with things, God will help us, if we have an open, seeking, & submissive spirit.
