Should Christians be watching new "Christian" movies and TV shows produced by Hollywood?
There are many being decieved about modern more recent shows that claim to be Christian or are somehow connected to people claiming to be "Christians". They teach things in those shows or have false religions mixed in influencing the production or viewers, and make it seem like those in darkness are the same as those in the Light of Christ. Thus luring folk to false religion by social media ads and into false religious groups. It distorts true Christianity and connects believers to the false gospels warned about in Scripture, and alignment with them means you're in agreement with their falsehoods, and doctrines of demons.
Most adaptations of biblical material created in Hollywood pervert the underlying message of Scripture beyond recognition—or dilute it until it’s invisible.
Here are some examples of current content and the problems with watching them or encouraging others to.
Passion of the Christ
- produced by a Catholic, with Catholic cast
-media events and interviews speak on Catholicism as if it's Christianity.
- Actors status & producer can gain fans and followers, and lure them into Catholicism
-advertising lures people into Catholicism
-an app was made by Catholics to lure people into it for Bible reading and teachings, which in turn lures people into Catholicism

Chosen
-Joined Christians with cult groups and Catholics (as well as the sex cult folk), in production
- media events and interviews speak on Catholicism, Mormonism etc, as if it's Christianity.
-advertising lures people into these false religions. They each target people on all social media to lure them in from the show to their cult and false religion websites, and into their "churches".
-an app was made by these groups to lure people into it for Bible reading and teachings, which in turn lures people into their false religion.
House of David
- falsely teaches David is Jesse’s illegitimate son.
- Several elements seem to be inspired by various extrabiblical and debunked sources, which "adds" to God's Word when Hollywood is telling Bible related stories, so has been forbidden by God.
- on example is the show depicting Ruth’s sister-in-law, Orpah, as the mother of the giant Goliath.
- Also not found in Scripture is the scene where Goliath’s javelin strikes David, leaving him bleeding on the ground and struggling for a stone. And here some of David’s actions seem to go against his biblical character, such as when he sneakily sits on Saul’s throne despite the biblical figure always honoring Saul’s place as king chosen by God.
- takes liberties saying David is illiterate, and was taught by someone later.
- David actively seeks out and kills the lion, rather than reacting to it attacking a sheep. This is not how most interpret David’s narrative to Saul (1 Samuel 17:34–36)
- Goliath is falsely portrayed not a Philistine but a volunteer who seeks revenge on Israel.
- a flashback sequence portrays literal winged angels fathering giant winged children in a story of the Nephilim told by Goliath’s mother.
- Goliath is among the last of these post-angelic Nephilim. After the flood, the Bible connects only the Anakim to any sort of “giant.”
- Goliath is considerably bigger than he is portrayed in Scripture: in the show, he is at least twice as tall as most humans.
And we can be sure that as more episodes air, more lies will be told, decieving viewers, and altering or twisting Scriptural history and truths, as Hollywood always does, in line with Satan who rules that industry. Regardless if they take it from the Bible. The entire industry takes things from the Bible and twists it into something else, in everything it produces.

Philippians 4:8, which says: "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things."

Use careful discernment about watching any show (James 1:5; 1 John 4:1). Find out who is producing it. If its not conservative Protestant, avoid it. Here is a website you can always check in the future to see what is being taught in the movie or TV show you hear about, and usually contains cautions and unbiblical elrments & teachings in it, so you can avoid watching ones that present lies to poison your mind (and your children's) with false things, deception, and doctrines of demons. Afterall, Satan runs the entertainment world in hollywood and secular misic, but he creeps into "Christian" realms too. We must remain vigilant.
Those who love God and follow Jesus must not take this lightly.
