Jesus and church leadership

Q: Why didn’t Jesus start churches or say anything about church leadership - specifically the hierarchical structure of elders and deacons, pastors, etc.?

A: He did, through the Apostles.

I'm going to ask a rhetorical question here:
Why didn’t Jesus write down the entire New Testament during His earthly ministry?

It wasn’t the right time for that yet or to speak about the two church offices (deacon and elder). Jesus’ first coming to the Earth was primarily to make atonement for sin while the second will be to come in judgement. As Yahweh the Son, His actions are in unity with that of Yahweh the Father and Yahweh the Spirit. So for example the Holy Spirit is called the Spirit of Christ in that it 1) affirms that Jesus is Yahweh in flesh and 2) Shows the union between the Persons so that when God acts – They are acting in unity together. So while the Holy Spirit was primarily responsible in providing Scripture to God’s people, we can say that the Father and Son were also involved in this process as well. 1 nature/being of God yet 3 distinct and equal Persons that operate with and love One Another.

Jesus says in John 16, ' “I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said that He takes of Mine and will disclose it to you.' - John 16:12-15

The Triune God has a purpose in the “in time” unfolding of His eternal decree which was made before the foundations of the world.

God Bless!
