Helps for cleaning the Home

Here's some general helps.

We can’t do everything well all the time. Some days some parts will great and some parts will be not so great and visa versa.

Organization and scheduling are very helpful with time management and prioritizing. Example: Bins for toys keep the clutter down and make for quick clean up.

Lots of info on the internet with examples of what to do when.

Example Schedule:
Monday: Clean the kitchen and entry.
Tuesday: Clean living room and dining room.
Wednesday: Clean bathrooms.
Thursday: Clean hallway and bedrooms.
Friday: Deep clean the house.
Remember to adapt this schedule to your family's needs and preferences. The key is to find a system that works for you and allows you to maintain a clean home while balancing the demands of kids and daily life.

Also try quick tips- for quick clean ups in between:
Designate a few minutes each evening to tidy up living areas, clean dishes, and do laundry.
Kids' Help: Assign age-appropriate chores to kids, such as cleaning up toys or helping with dishes.
Prioritize High-Traffic Areas: Clean kitchen and bathrooms regularly to prevent messes from accumulating.

2. Weekly Deep Cleaning:
Dedicated Days: Allocate specific days for deep cleaning tasks like dusting, vacuuming, and mopping.
Room-by-Room Approach: Clean one or two rooms per day to avoid feeling overwhelmed.
Weekend Deep Clean: Dedicate a weekend day to deep cleaning bathrooms, kitchen, and floors.

3. Involving Kids in Cleaning:
Age-Appropriate Tasks: Assign chores that are suitable for their age and abilities.
Visual Aids: Use checklists or visual charts to help them understand their responsibilities.
Make it Fun: Incorporate games or rewards to motivate kids to participate in cleaning.

4. Tips for Success:
Mimimize:
Don't buy your kids loads of toys and clothes that lead to clutter and cleaning problems. Clean out, pass down to a younger child, and sell or donate things annually. Have a limit to the number of things they own, and opt for something digital like books and music (on family accounts), and experiences like a day party or dine out meal or affordable event tickets to something instead of physical toys after age 6.

Be Realistic:
Don't expect a pristine home with kids; focus on maintaining a clean and organized space.

Prioritize:
Focus on essential tasks and don't be afraid to skip less important ones when needed.

Celebrate Success:
Acknowledge and reward efforts, even small ones, to keep motivation high.
Consider a Cleaning Service if you’re able.
