Freewill and suicide

Q: Why is it such a sin to think about dying or even ending your own life? If we have free will, then why isn’t the decision mine?

A: Unsaved sinners have free will to sin, believers have freedom to live within righteousness. We don't have flippant freewill to do what we want. It is always within the two, and for believers it is to be in submissiveness to God's will. It is not God's will for us to sin and self murder ourselves. But to live holy, and in fellowship with God as we live to glorify Him.

We belong to God, not ourselves so no we have no right to end our life. God takes us home by His will and call when your purpose here is done. He's has much good work to do in and through you, so go follow Christ daily, pick up your cross and be the faithful servant soldier of God.

Its fine to think about death, but not in a wrong way. Death according to God in Scripture is the wages we earn for our sins.

If you are Christian you know God created everything perfect, Man chose to sin and that brought sin and corruption and death into the world. Praise God that he didn't leave us to decay eternally in these bodies nor leave us hellbound in our sin, but instead is working all things out for good. For the lost he offers to redeem & restore us in Jesus, to the believer he will give us a sin free eternal body in eternity where we will be with Him. And until then He walks with us and lives in us helping us through this life. Maturing is in the Faith as we serve and love for Him. He bought us and we are no longer our own.

Feeling depressed, discouraged, and discontent about life situations is sin. It's a symptom of not trusting God and not living as a believer. It is possible you are having an Identity crisis and struggle with the problems of this world. This will help.

Here are resources to help you grow in the Faith, into maturity. So you can live in the peace of Christ and go serve your King.

God bless
