Faith & doubt struggles, need peace
Q: I am angry. Beyond angry. I want to just be done and walk away. Ever since I was a young child I struggled and dealt with doubts and fear. Doubting my faith and questioning if I truly believe in Jesus or not. I WANT faith. I WANT to believe without these doubts. But how do I know if my heart truly believes or not? How do I know this is all real? How do i know the Bible is the truth? How do we know it was really written over a period of time? I’ve BEGGED God to give me faith. I’ve been praying and reading, seeking DAILY. Crying my heart out to God to show me He is real and He is there. Yet nothing changes. Like He doesn’t even hear me. Why was I even born! I’m so scared not to believe in God because I’m scared of going to hell. But I want to WANT a real relationship with Him. I don’t want to just be scared. But how do I fix all of this when I don’t control my feelings and thoughts? I don’t want to feel these things, but they’re there regardless. Why won’t He just answer me!!
A: You were born because God created you and has a purpose for you as he has for all humans and the redeemed.
There's lies put out online about Christianity to try to dash your faith. Q? Are you in a local church and active there? The teachers and leaders there are who we should go to first for these questions, so they can spend time discipling you on these topics. They know no question is dumb and everyone is at a different place in their walk. People who skip or avoid this resource God lifted us, will just wander around, be blown around and decieved by false doctrine and have anxiety and no peace, like you are experiencing. If you have no church you're a member at, find one today.
God speaks to us through Scripture, so outside your church shepherds you'll have to dive in there yourself. For the unsaved it only presents God & the Gospel and the truth of damnation for those who die in their sins. For the believer it's an endless treasure of knowledge, learning, and helps us grow closer to God and mature in the Faith, and presents current and future promises.
The key factor and focus of Christianity is based on the Resurrection of Christ. If Christ didn't live, die and Resurrection, then Christianity isn't true. Examine it here, (and further below*). Which is also connected to the Trustworthiness of the Bible; the Word of God. And proves the deity of Jesus.

The way you gain faith, have right standing with God, have Jesus as Lord, Savior & King, and eternal life... is by obeying the Gospel. It's that easy but requires faith/trust. Faith is simply trust. Have you ever done that? This will give good clarity.✨️✝️
Ask your church to take you through an essentials & foundations study to disciple you. Ask questions there and get your faith solidified 🙂. It should all be part of their (free) new believers or discipleship course.

You know the Bible is true because it speaks the truth, has never been refuted, & prophecy, history and even archeology attest to it's validity. You'll also KNOW when you read it.
You'll also know Christianity is true and real, as is God, because God radically transformed you at salvation. Its a personal miracle God gives you. You hate sin and now love righteousness and God. Your salvation trust is in Jesus, and you trust God will be with you helping you live in this fallen world through whatever comes, and has a good puropse in it and its outcome, which strengthens your faith.
Unbelievers don't care about Hell, those concerned about it and who desire living "in righteousness" are ones who are being drawn to Jesus. So just surrender your life to him. Jesus in Mark 1:15 said "Repent and believe the Gospel". So do that... genuinely, and have the peace of Christ. 😊✨️✝️
