Can a Christian add elements of Islam to their life?
Q: Do you think you can combine the structure of Islam with the belief system of christianity. I am having a hard time with the free will we get from christianity and wanted to embrace the islam structure like the way they dress and live there daily life but focus on God and not Allah.
A: No. Why would you exchange the Truth for a lie, and try to serve two masters Light and Darknes?? This is impossible. Scripture even says so.
Matthew 6:24 "No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other.
2 Corinthians 6:14 "Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?
In like manor one uniting light and darkness is adultery of the faith towards God, and this fits 1 Corinthians 6:15-17 "Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never! Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, 'The two will become one flesh.' But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit."
Likewise God can ask to the one who is the Bride of Christ... Ezekiel 16:32-34 "You adulterous wife! You prefer strangers to your own husband!
Ephesians 5:8-11 "For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) and find out what pleases the Lord. Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them."
James 4:4 "You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God."
For some odd reason MZAlpha gen are being lured into deception of Islam by social media. Don't fall for it. Talk to your pastor. Christians lives are to be holy ones, which includes modest dressing. I have no idea why you think Christians are not called to live modestly or pray.
So, No. Do not be lured by Satan's subtly of Islam. It is basically a cult that took pieces of Judaism, Christianity and Satanism. Avoid it.
Heres what you need to know about Islam.
What your suggesting is idolatry, adultery against God and syncretism which all are to be rejected. Christianity never is to mix other religions practices with other religions. It's unheard of.
Trying to join two beliefs is called Syncretism: “the reconciliation or fusion of differing systems of belief.” This is most evident in the areas of philosophy and religion, and usually results in a new teaching or belief system. Obviously, this cannot be reconciled to biblical Christianity.
Syncretism relies on the whim of man, not the truth; Authoritative standard of Scripture. GOD (YHWH) in the Bible makes it very clear what true religion is. Think on just a few things stated in Scripture: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind" (Deuteronomy 6:5; Matthew 22:37); "Jesus replied, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me'" (John 14:6); "Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name" (John 20:31); and “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12).
1 Corinthians 10: 14 “Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry. I speak as to sensible people; judge for yourselves what I say. The cup of blessing that we bless, is it not a participation in the blood of Christ? The bread that we break, is it not a participation in the body of Christ? Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread. Consider the people of Israel: are not those who eat the sacrifices participants in the altar? What do I imply then? That food offered to idols is anything, or that an idol is anything? No, I imply that what pagans sacrifice they offer to demons and not to God. I do not want you to be participants with demons. You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You cannot partake of the table of the Lord and the table of demons. Shall we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than he?”
Remember everything Satan copies God created. The things you are talking about were always a part of Christianity. Islam steals and copies the Christian faith not the other way around. It is idolatrous, false. Don’t provoke God by even comparing the two, or considering following any of its false practices in any way. It is why God put rules and laws around Israel to prevent them "mingling" with the pagan nations around them and preventing them from becoming isolatrius adulterers against God.
Here’s what God says to do to Islam, both in reality and in regards to your Faith:
Deuteronomy 12:1-6
“These are the statutes and rules that you shall be careful to do in the land that the Lord, the God of your fathers, has given you to possess, all the days that you live on the earth. You shall surely destroy all the places where the nations whom you shall dispossess served their gods, on the high mountains and on the hills and under every green tree. You shall tear down their altars and dash in pieces their pillars and burn their Asherim with fire. You shall chop down the carved images of their gods and destroy their name out of that place. You shall not worship the Lord your God in that way. But you shall seek the place that the Lord your God will choose out of all your tribes to put his name and make his habitation there. There you shall go, and there you shall bring your burnt offerings and your sacrifices, your tithes and the contribution that you present, your vow offerings, your freewill offerings, and the firstborn of your herd and of your flock.”
God doesn’t want pagan worship at all under any circumstances. Don't ever think of mingling the truth with error. Do not trample on the blood of Christ.
Unlike false religions which only have an outward appearance but "inside are white washed tombs", the unsaved are dead men walking, they have no spiritual life, and are living only in the sin nature. Their inner man is full of evil and the sin nature. They don't know God or Righteousness or truth, and therefore cannot live a life that pleases God. But Christians are redeemed by God through faith in Christ, and have been given spiritual life in the inner man. We have Christ's righteousness and thus can live holy lives that please God. We were bought by Him for Him and belong to Him, and so we lovingly obey, submit and follow Scriptural truth and Christ.
Do not believe the cresfty subtle deception of Satan. Avoid people, videos, messages, audios, and channels online that are not within "biblical orthodoxy" (meaning within what God reveals in Scripture). This is why itvis vital you are in a solid Bible focused church, as a member and are active there. Going to Bible studies and getting shepherded by the leadership, and counsel from among the mature believers and Bible study teachers there.
Head covering or modesty is not exclusive to Islam. Christians have been doing that for centuries since the very beginning, long before Islam even existed.
Likewise regarding prayer life, Christians have been praying and continue to pray multiple times throughout the day, long before Islam was created. We are told to "Pray without ceasing", and note God only hears the prayers of those in Christ. God doesnt hear the prayers of those in Islsm or other religions who are praying instead to Satan in idolatry. They do not pray to YHWH.
You don’t have to go outside of Christ to find structure or discipline. Nor is there anything beneficial outside of Christianity. It's all vain and void.
Having structure or discipline isn’t about ‘following religion’ for the sake of it, it’s only acceptable within the confines of what God has declared in Scripture for the Faith, and as individuals is about creating a healthy relationship with Jesus. For the Church it is in righteousness and by orderly organized corporate life in the Church body. Don’t turn to nor turn it into false religion or legalism, where it becomes a checklist and you condemn yourself if you miss something. The goal is closeness with Him, and holiness, not false perfectionism.
None of what you're looking for will be found anywhere but within Christianity.
If you love God and Jesus, you will repent of that sinful idea and turn back to God.
Here are some Resources to help you Grow as a Believer, to bless and help mature you in the Faith.
God bless
