Warnings on seeking demonic help thru Witchcraft, Necromancy/Mediums/Speaking to the dead, Divination, Signs, Tarots, etc

These are not things Christians seek out. We have the complete Word of God; the special Revelation God gave to humanity - the Bible. Divine information to help, counsel and guide us. All we need for life and faith are found in its pages.

Witchcraft, Sorcery, Divination and Necromancy and all these things as Sxripture repeatedly speaks against, are not what we get involved in. It is all wickedness and of Satan. God's children do not seek out the darkness. We have God's Word, godly counsel from believersvsnd leaders at church to help us, and biblical counselors who guide us to the truths revealed in Scripture, so we hear God and follow that righteous counsel.

Lev 18:10-12 says these demonic things are an abomination to God, and is very serious sin if you do it ->> it is rebellion towards God. See also Galatians 5:19-21, Revelation 9:21 and Revelation 18:23, as well as many other Scriptures on this topic. Christians are not to seek out these things, but only what God has said in Scripture, to lead and guide us in life, to counsel and correct us, and to be focused on trusting God.

We can see a bit of the devastating outcome that happens when we disobey God, go our way, & God shuts his ears to us - for Christians our fellowship is broken because of disobedience and not dealing with our sins in repentance. We must live rightly as the Holy Spirit lives in us and we are not to grieve Him.

In 1 Samuel 28. King Saul sinfully sought out the Witch of Endor to summon the spirit of the deceased prophet Samuel, due to a desperate situation... instead of living right, seeking to be right with God, and hearing from Him.

When the witch successfully brings up Samuel's spirit, Saul is frightened, and Samuel chastises Saul for disturbing him and reminds him of his disobedience to God. This encounter highlights the consequences of Saul's actions and his departure from God's guidance.

1 Samuel 28:11-19:
Then the woman said, “Whom shall I bring up for you?” And he said, “Bring up Samuel for me.”  When the woman saw Samuel, she cried out with a loud voice, and the woman spoke to Saul, saying, “Why have you deceived me? For you are Saul!”  The king said to her, “Do not be afraid; but what do you see?” And the woman said, “I see a divine being coming up out of the earth.”   He said to her, “What is his form?” And she said, “An old man is coming up, and he is wrapped with a robe.” And Saul knew that it was Samuel, and he bowed with his face to the ground and did homage. Then Samuel said to Saul, “Why have you disturbed me by bringing me up?” And Saul answered, “I am greatly distressed, for the Philistines are waging war against me, and God has departed from me and no longer answers me, either through prophets or by dreams; therefore I have called you, that you may make known to me what I should do.”  Samuel said, “Why then do you ask me, since the Lord has departed from you and has become your adversary?  The Lord has done according to His word which He spoke through me; for the Lord has torn the kingdom out of your hand and given it to your neighbor, to David. As you did not obey the Lord and did not execute His fierce wrath on Amalek, so the Lord has done this thing to you today.  Moreover, the Lord will also give over Israel along with you into the hands of the Philistines; therefore tomorrow you and your sons will be with me. Indeed, the Lord will give over the army of Israel into the hands of the Philistines!”

God allowed this to happen, but Saul sinned by doing this, and previously making the mess he did to where God wasn't answering him.

In 1 Samuel 15, Saul disobeys God's command to completely destroy the Amalekites and their possessions. As a result of this disobedience, God rejects Saul as king [conseuences]. As we then see, in 1 Samuel 28, Saul is in distress and feels that God is not answering him through dreams, prophets, or other means, so he turns to the Witch of Endor to seek guidance. This act of consulting a medium is seen as further disobedience to God's commands, which forbade such practices. Thus, Saul's sin and disobedience are central to the problem from the start. And he adds to it by seeking out demonic means, which God always forbad and had clearly spoke against - which we see in Scripture.

These are demonic things Christians are never to do, nor be involved in. It should never even cross your mind.

Don't even entertain the idea of it!
