Doubts about faith, faq, reliability Qs, w desire closer to God

Q: I’m having a bit of a hard time and my mind is being conflicted. I had a great relationship with Jesus and I want that back.

Can you please tell me why Christianity, and not other religions such as Islam. I'm looking for some encouragement, facts or why you chose it, with Scripture. 

Also I dont understand why there is so many different versions, some have verses or books missing, and it’s made me doubt the reliability. I’m just so confused and conflicted.
