Struggling with & seeing sin everywhere in my life since saved

Q: Since I gave my life to Jesus, it feels like EVERYTHING I do is sinning. Watching movies ( even though I’m watching what I see) , playing video games ( again being careful what I play and how long I play ) etc . I talked about this with my grandma (she’s a follower of Christ as well ) and she said she felt the same way before too. She also said you still live your life like normal , but now you have Jesus making your number one priority and don’t do things you know he won’t agree on (sinning ) and are to live for him ( his will ) .

So I was wondering if this is a normal feeling you got when you were newly saved. I also was wondering if I can still play video games and watch movies and such ? ( I know I have to watch what I do for now on , but I just want to make sure ).

Also... how to best take notes when studying the Bible ? And what’s your favorite book ?

A: We are still trapped in this body stained by sin and can't fully escape it [till death], even if we kill and conquer one area we may (as we mature in the faith) realize we barely scratched the surface of that sin [in reality]. I noticed that in my life a lot this year, and it's great to see more in that way so it can be dealt with, with God's help. Truth is we sin and million times a day even as we strive to live in righteousness. Fortunately Jesus has paid for all those sins already, and we simply live in Faith, dealing with them as they come, so we can eliminate what remains... as we become more Christlike.

As we mature in the faith we will see areas such as entertainment, music, movies, books, attitudes, anything really, that we need to think rightly about and make changes.

It's great you're thinking through these things and staying sensitive to them, so you are pursuing the right ways, and honoring God.

Here are some resources that can help on these topics, i hope they bless you.

Whatever you do, "do it to the glory of God." If its not a good use of your time, or pulls you from responsibilities, it's a no. But there is Christian Liberty, yet be careful it's not used to sin.

As to the Bible questions there's a few tips and helps in here from notes to journaling.
