Not good enough, lacking, sin concerns & Assurance

Q: Im a beliver, l've given my life to Jesus, go to church, have been baptised and preach Jesus. But my worldly truama sometimes is hard to fight, & fear that I’ll never be good enough to get into heaven. We all want to hear you’ve done well good and faithful servent. But being in this body stained by sin still, I still catch myself sinning, gossiping or judging. So sometimes that little seed of worrying of never being good enough sets in. Is it ever normal to have those thoughts or feelings? What advice & scripture would you reccomend to go to in these moments. Thanks.

A: I am not sure what you mean by trauma; we all live in a fallen world full of suffering and problems, but as we mature in Christ and grow in the Fruit of the Spirit, & understand and live out the Gospel in truth, then we can rightly deal with these issues biblically...and trust God in all circumstances. We don't let things tie us up in knots and prevent us moving forward.

As to the concern of never being good enough to get to Heaven, it is true none is nor can be and that's why our trust is in Jesus on this matter; he did the work and paid our sin debt in full to God... so we are trusting in His righteousness not our own, for our salvation. He is how we get into Heaven, or I should say He brings us to the sin free eternity to ever more be with Him, because he saved us.

Regarding sin, God has empowered us TO, & knows his children ARE faithfully battling, conquering and having victory over sin(s), but also knows that for some areas and of our maturity into becoming more like Christ... it takes time. Yet Scripture is clear that ultimately God will conform us to the image of his son, and perfect us in Him by/on that last day. So...day by day just keep short sin accounts, grow stronger in dealing with them, eliminating them, and in become more Christlike overall. The Holy Spirit helps us in that, in all ways, every day.  😊

“If any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous” 1 John 2:1

Remember,
"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness" 2 Corinthians 12:9

"We take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ" 2 Corinthians 10:5

"God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out Abba, Father. So since you are no longer a slave, but a son, and since you are a son God has made you also an heir" Galatians 4:6-7

"In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For i am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord" Romans 8:37-39

Overall, by faithfully persevering in the Faith it will result in the desires you indicated, cuz Jesus already settled our salvation matter, and he works in and through us for good, and we all can confidently & eagerly anticipate hearing that very same thing from Jesus when we step into eternity.
