Church going family is into new age crystals
Q: I'm really bothered that my family doesn't get me. Because even though they say they are Christian, my brother and family will not even say the word God. They don't want to talk about Him or anything. My mom believes in God and goes to church but her church encourages New Age things too. Anyways, my brother and family bought me crystals to hang in the window. Some people I guess buy them because they reflect the sun and are pretty to look at. But I had a season - before I really knew Christ - that I had crystals for New Age reasons. I don't want the crystals - I don't even want them in the closet of my home. But they may come to visit and expect those crystals to be in the windows. What do I do? I don't want to hurt their feelings. I thought maybe just having them in the closet and hanging them up in the windows while they're there would be fine. But I really feel like I need to completely get rid of them.
A: It is a great opp fir witnessjng & speaking the truth, so...Toss em. If they ask why they dont see them or ask where they are, say "it's connected to new age idolatry, so you got rid of it." And note that that " it is a false belief wjich sadly has crept into churches today & is decieving many".
Its highly likely they aren't saved. But you can probe their salvation. Have a light and genuine convo with them, right then; take that chance now as it might not come again. Say you "Jane, I noticed never hear you talk about God or Jesus,... and am curious why you came to Jesus".
See what they say. If it isnt because God is perfect, they're a wretched sinner who needed salvation and Christ's righteousness ...then they're not saved and probably came via a false gospel of life enhancement.
So watch/share this video needGod.com right then, and get their thoughts. Say "have you ever understood Christianity this way, as to why we need Jesus?" And if they say they never knew that, then encourage them to get right with God today and truly be born again. "Based on what I've seen in your life, it is best that you make sure you are right with God... and get born again today. Do you want to do that?" If yes, then ask them to pray right now, and you'll pray over them afterwards. Then go celebrate!
Do that for each family member.
It could be that you can both go to the others together now, and share the truth as you did wuth the first person. Do it right away.
Then, go from there encouraging them in reading the Word, in attending a Bible focused church, getting bsptized, becoming a mrmber, going to a new believers/foundations class, and growing in holiness daily. Maybe start a family daily devotions time via zoom or at home.
Help them Find a bible based Church here, as they need to leave any they attend that embraced new age idolatry.

After that visit, send a light email with specific links to melissa vids on yt about it. Title each link. There's a few here you can find. It's ok to cc the other family on the email, too, to inform them as well. Three birds one stone. Its may also help you tag team to reach the others if the first person you spoke with did get right with God today. Regardless you shared the truth. Pray for them and any who remain in it, and live a growing Christlike life that draws them to truth & salvation.
