Should I fear witchcraft & demons?
Q: I feel so helpless. I backslid, and have been sinning a lot, and I am fearful and worried further as someone is doing witchcraft on me and it won’t stop. They won’t stop. The person said they had someone do "supernatural" witchcraft things on me. How do I get it to stop?
A: God is in control. So, only fear God.
That unsaved evil person is just playing on your fears. Witchcraft as in voodoo magic isn't real. Witchcraft in general is idolatry. Satan (or so called self professed human witchcraft practicers) don't have any control over you. In general Satan can only tempt you. Here he is tempting you to fear and think He has some kind of power that's beyond God's control. Stop falling for his lies. He uses people to lie, so stop falling for the lies he spews through others. The way to make it stop is to stop letting him goad & decieve you. Stop fearing these things. Stop allowing your fears to run amuck. Put and keep your trust in God.
God provides and protects. God is soverign. He us God and is in control over all. Trust and rely on Him. If you claim to be a believer but don't, then you are sinning by not trusting God, just as they did in Eden.
Witchcraft that's practiced by fallen humans today doesn't even do anything. Nobody has any powers to do anything supernatural today. Satan is a created being who is like a dog on a leash. God is in control over all.
Just stay away from people who try to manipulate you into frightening you over such fallacies. Trust God, focus on the Bible's teaching and search for answers to anything in there. Have faith that God doesn't permit that kind of possessions, or supernatural powers, anymore like seen in the Bible. And note, the wonders done in Jesus time by Him (and the Apostles) were done in God's power, and meant for the confirmation of Jesus's diety (and fulfilments of the prophecies), before the new testament was written and assembled into the completed and perfect Word of God. Today the Bible is our complete guide in all matters, and we need to read, study and know it deeply so we arent decieved by people.
Here's resources on Spiritual Warfare, which is different than believing anyone today practicing evil witchcraft "magic" can have any power over you. It's just fantasy on their part as powerless idolators. You need to understand these things very clearly and Biblically. And that info will help you.
Finally and most importantly, are you not saved? You should examine, to know for sure, as Scripture says to... since you said you "backslid", cuz many today are false converts.
If true, then not only are you in danger of dying in your sins but until saved you are under Satan's influence and you wont have peace or an eternal future. So flee to Christ today and seriously settle your salvation matter. Then walk in peace trusting God, and no matter what situations in this fallen world come your way, He will walk through life with you (just as we see with Job and the rest of Scripture shows of those who are His) 🙂.
Grow firm in the faith and you will do well handling anything that comes your way in this fallen world.
