Coming to Faith but concern over atheist spouse
Q: I am marrried to an atheist and am coming back to the faith. Do you think it will ever work between us? He already is making fun of me for wanting a new bible and talking about God. We have 3 kids together and I would love to teach them the Scripture... but he is 100% against it. What do I do?
A: Believer be encouraged! God is in the miracle and saving/restoration business. There is hope. I know many atheists who got saved.
God is with you. No one can stop God from saving a person [you] and raising kids in Christ. He will make a way even if it takes time. He is always up to something good when he saves someone. Prayerfully your whole family could be saved in the near future.
God has called you to himself, so you are to obey God over man; incl your husband. He's not saved so he is not the spiritual leader of the home, you are. There will be troubles along the way, as light and darkness cannot coexist in peace. BUT you can and are to go about living out your faith [and raising your kids in Christ] in a way that can draw him to God. God will work on his heart.
This has unequally yoked resources to help you live godly before him, (and is of course in conjunction with what Scripture teaches), so it will be a blessing to you.
This will help you control your emotions for when times get tough or he gets heated about it. *Go through this now to prepare and do your best, constantly getting better at handling varied situations more biblically/holy.
And how to handle/have a good mindset for responses/behaviors for when he's negative, mean, etc.
While he is leader of the home, there are non faith related things you can submit to him about, things that are not hard to just let go of as they have no eternal value. But on matters of faith you need to obey God, even if it upsets him.
This has foundational info to know about Christianity (so you can have fruitful convos about the Faith when he throws out objections and sneers) & will solidify your faith.

How to reach my spouse for Christ
When you get to the point, sooner rather than later, try to reach him for the Gospel.
Show him this video
Then ask probing questions.
Have you ever understood the Gospel explained that way before?
Do you see why we all need Jesus as our Savior?
Do you want to settle your case with God today and be made right by Him?
If you need to nudge, remind him - tomorrow is not guaranteed for anyone. 160k die daily and we dont know when death will come for us.
Ask if he sees the reasonableness and importance of turning to Jesus today.
If yes, then say, dont let anything stop you. Pray to God and begin a personal relationship with Him.
