So much going wrong

All kinds of things wrong

Q: I could really use your prayers or advice 🥲
My life has been challenging since moving to the U.S. 5 years ago when my mom remarried. I've faced homelessness, constant instability, depression, attempted suicide, abuse by my stepfather, constantly stressed because I have to be the sort of care giver for my mother (since she is an alcoholic), and I haven't been able to pursue a career well, because I'm always struggling to make ends meet. I recently got laid off from work and surviving I’m down to $0 and still have to take care of my little brother.

I make mistakes but feel like I’m constantly being punished. Yes I sin and make mistakes but I try to work throughout them after I became a believer.

I often wonder why I'm going through so much suffering, especially when I see others my age living their best lives. I recently got baptized and am working on my relationship with God, but ...I am so close to giving up. Help.

A: Remember....

Prayers for you.  I also pray God's will to be done. Theres much to be said on these situations you have gone through. Just know that if we are believers God cares for us. He allows things so we stay close to Him, protect us from other worse things too, and helps us rely on Him, grow in our faith and to testify of Him, and help others in similar situations.

If somethings going on, know that God is up to something... and you can be sure there's a good purpose, though perhaps hard to see right now. Be like those in Scripture and trust God.

The links and some of the stuff in here should be a good help to you.

Also, your mom and dad need to be the ones taking care of you and your brother. They are not your responsibility. But if possible, get your local Church involved so they can minister to them, and help you where legitimately needed. Also seek govt assistance where legitimately needed and possible.

As far as work, you should pursue that for yourself and not let your parents take advantage. They need to get their lives in order. You are not their parent. Ask those in your church if they know of any decent paying legitimate jobs available, or if they can put out feelers to people and businesses they know who are looking for someone of your skills. The Church is a community for the redeemed and we need to seek help there. If you do land a job... be as much of a godly light there as you can be radiating Christ and working unto the Lord.

This means... also Nlnever compromise on biblical values - God will always provide, if it is necessary he will move you to another job. Grow in Faith, learn to share the Gospel, and see it as a mission field too. Be brave and strong like Daniel.

God bless! 🙂🙏
