Overcoming cycles of weak faith periods
Q:
I go through these weird cycles within my faith. For a few weeks I will feel absolutely on top, super close to God and I will think about Him throughout the day. Then for a few weeks my faith will be super weak and I just dont know what to do when that happens. I almost feel I’ve run from God again. But my heart aches for Him, and I feel my sin, because I know what I am doing is wrong and I feel so dirty for it. I will go from feeling really connected to feeling so separate and not knowing how to get back. My will is so weak. I just go through this patten constantly though. How do I stop this???

A: There is a good quote here about sin keeping you from reading the Scriptures [where you hear from God and grow closer to him] so ofc if you are doing that...you will want to run and hide. But that is no way to handle any relationship. You just need to repent to God and keep short accounts on sin [from now on] during the day, so such things dont happen. 😊
That way your daily time in the Word is constant and 📖the Bible keeps you from sinning. You are constantly thinking on the Word and what you recently learned in it. Reading S ripture is to be dsily and for life. Hiding His Word in your heart and mind and living by it.
You also then look forward to having God and believers call out your sins to your attention so you can in gratitude deal with them immediately. 🥰✝️. Being in a right relationship with God is vital because sin puts up walls and fellowship is broken [God wont hear your prayers and will actually discipline you even if your church fails to]. So you need to be sensitive to that. Kill & conquer sin anywhere found so you can mature in the Faith and persevere well to the end. Live it out in daily practice.
Besides the prev link info, Get closer to God by understanding who He is and Understand the Holiness of God.
This will help you a bit to jolt you about the truth of sin. So you take it seriously. Not many understand this even believers who have been around a long time. They just were never taught this. So you can be off and running and maturing in faith faster than they did, if you grasp this well.
