Baptism concerns & sin
Q: I have few questions as I been Christian for awhile now does people who won’t get baptized won’t go to heaven? Does God gets mad if we reject being baptized I just feel like it’s not time yet as I still struggle and have doubts I feel like it would be better if my relationship with him is stronger than I have right now I pray everyday I read the bible everyday the enemy attacks my mind sometimes I think evil thought out of nowhere and I know it’s not me thinking that I feel like sometimes I can’t control my mind it just comes the enemy attacks me a lot lately giving me anxiety and think about my traumas and pain that I’ve experienced in my life but even tho he attacks me I pray and have faith I ask Jesus to help me and the Holy Spirit and the attack goes away for awhile and I’m in peace again. Then out of nowhere it comes back again I struggle with this for weeks.
Now I feel like I’m so weak but I’m not giving up I keep fighting against it because I love Jesus so much. And he has helped and get me thru so much in my life so I have faith that everything will work out for me in his will and his plan for me. What should I pray when the enemy attacks? How can I get more and more closer to God how can I know when God is talking to me? Sometimes I feel like I do things that he won’t forgive but I still continue to talk to him how do I know when I repent and ask for forgiveness that he has forgiven me for the sin that I did? So much things are going thru my head right now
A: You can solidify your faith.
(See bottom resources)
If you are saved then your past present and future sins were dealt with by Jesus on the cross. Its paid and finished.
We struggle (and conquer sin) because we are in a body still stained by it. So theres the idea of waring with our flesh Scripture talks about as well as our need to wearing the armor of God to deal with it.
When we mess up we have Christ our mediator, and we keep short sin accounts by praying to the Father and resolving them throughout the day. This keeps us *from avoiding* God, prayer and the Bible, and ensuring we walk rightly day by day. 🙂
Biblically Baptism is what we are supposed to do after salvation. Today churches delay allowing baptism because they dont want to in error baptize you both in the faith and the church. As theyre responsible to help you grow. So they want to see the fruit proof first. But if salvation is genuine, do get baptized right as soon as they approve. Likely first will take you thru probing, confirming likelyhood of salvation... and then be obedient to God's call for you to be baptized (public testimony). The church may require baptism classes, a discipleship class and after baptism a new members class. But these are for your benefit as one who is already a believer.
