Where to find Christian books for free or cheap?
I am interested in getting Christian books but I don't have the money, I need to start reading again, but all I read is the bible.
A: The Bible is the best library to read. It contains 66 books and is God's Word to man. As well as - is His love letter to us.
👉tbvh it is good to read the Bible like 5x in a row cover to cover. Before reading other books. Then you can read Scripture using special targeted & topical reading plans. 👇
...and memorize important verses before you read books written by others.
Next i would recommend studying further deeper thru sermons by highly reputable preachers. GTY is a great place to do so. You can go thru John, Mark, & Romans here and the rest at the website by book series. These are all free and are loaded with deeper learning. [*audio/vid options & transcripts].
Most pastors books are written based on their sermons. Some John Macarthur books and Ray Comfort books are on blueletterbible.com and if you have paid spotify acct these many various reputable books are free to hear (1/month).
THIS list has already vetted books, including books it links to. And this store is reputable.
You can hear over 300 free godly podcast episodes here.
Beyond that Mongerism has free books. Both on the site and by newsletter.
To check if books are reputable and not by false teachers you can look at and check here, and many other books against the reviews at pluggedin.com and challies.com to ensure theyre biblically trustworthy or best to avoid.
Additionally,
You can also ask any the members in your Sunday school & fellowship group, (chat groups too), and your pastor, ask if you could temp loan- to read good books they recommend, see if they want to give any others away, create a church library with them, see if your church has one, or ask to read pastors books on loan.
These are the best places & practices... to ensure you stay within biblical Christian orthodox, and avoid false material (doctrines of demons; subtle or outright).
God bless
