Also you need to be in Sunday school besides worship services. It is the main place you will learn the basics & grow deeper. For new believers there should be a new believers class that teaches the fundamental essential basics over 12 lessons. Also the church will have a baptism or foundations class you likely will go through after that, prior to them accepting you into membership. Believers are to be members. Then you will join in regular Sunday School classes that teach through the Bible [supplementary to your personal daily study of Scripture at home]. You can ask questions there and also join the class chat group to get help from the teacher as you learn through Scripture. There are also additional supplementary optional bible studies usually at someones home called a fellowship group where they meet up locally. Here they go through varied studies and it adds to your knowledge, gives opportunity for asking clarity on the lessons, and helps give opportunities to fellowship too. Sunday School and Fellowship groups are the main place you will be for the first 2 to 3 years in the church (as newbies), and then you will start serving after the church sees Fruit of salvation in your life. You can find out then what kinds of serving opportunities there are, and go participate. These are the places you will meet and form long friendships (that will also last into eternity).
