Forgiveness & Repentance by God and others

Forgiveness & Repentance??

Q: I want to ask more about forgiveness related to luke 17:3, 4 and Scripture.
We are to forgive if the person asks in repentance. Many miss the second part of the verse.

If there is no repentance do we forgive?

I know we have to forgive as Christ forgave us and if we forgive other our heavenly Father will forgive us.

But does God always forgive the ones who don't repent?

If we don't have Jesus as our Savior, we won't forgive, since we dont know God or love. But if we turn to recieve Jesus as our Savior we will be forgiven and can forgive others - because He forgave us.

Can you give some clarity, to help me understand better?

A:  Lets look..
If there is no repentance do we forgive?

Does God always forgive the ones who don't repent?

If they are believers, God has already forgiven their sins (by Christ). If a believer is unrepentant the church discipline kicks in, to avoid God disciplining them. Which ultimately could be Death bcuz he has no use for such ones here anymore.

For unbelievers we need to show grace to point to the Gospel of Christ, and pray they get saved before they die. Sinners in sin nature only produce fruit of sin. So there will be constant following of Jesus example for believers in dealing with them.

Here are some good helps for this topic.
