1. People in sin nature are free to sin as its all they can do, thus all they desire to do. Theyre not free in the sense of free, since theyre enslaved in sin. They live out the desires of their nature.
2. Those saved also are free to live righteously because it is what they now desire to do, since they have the righteous nature (as a new creation). They live out the desires of their new nature.
You dont get from point one to point 2 unless the Holy Spirit draws you, God reasons with you in truth, and makes you white as snow by bringing your spirit to Life by causing you to be born again - when you obey the Gospel.
Scripture teaches TULIP soteriology, but todays culture rejects it because they ewere raised or educated in churches teaching false teachings. The people there are focused on self (me me me) and not truth. It is how many fall into idolatry by recieving a false gospel that tickles their ears; they run after what sounds like something they prefer (over truth). Many find this out, study, and flee arminisnism theology. God grows them in truth and knowledge because they looked into it. 🙂
We must get back to the truth of Scripture, and follow proper Hermeneutics when reading & studying the Bible. And actually read and study it! Otherwise Christians will remain ignorant of its actual contents.
The majority of the problem about this in churches today is because only 2% (1) read the Bible daily and only around 20% [of Americans] claimed to have read the entire Bible at least once(2).

(1) Lifeway Research study, 2021, survey of 40k people. However a well known Church speaker surveyed endless churches and asked the congregation the same question and only 2% said they read it daily. This seems more accurate as it covers a larger number of Christians and churches. Plus, Lifeway study didnt specify what was meant by "reading". Too many look at 1 verse a day by app and could call that "reading" when in fact it is far from it.
(2) The 2016 Lifeway Research study found that only 20% of Americans claimed to have read the entire Bible at least once. Of all Americans. Thus the # of church people in Lifeway results of #1, shows the are actually very far off from reality.
(3) Arminian Pastors will have much to give an account for, to God, for teaching false soteiology. Dont follow their path 😬. Examine it well to follow truth, and not lead people into error and false conversions.
