Is an Evangelist a lone ranger?

How should an evangelist relate to the local church? Should they be lone rangers doing their own thing, or are they to be faithful members of a local fellowship?

Do those who share the Gospel need to be sent by a Church or are only those men Evangelists? No. Every believer is to obey the great commission. We are here on Earth after salvation to go into the world and bring the Gospel message.
