Women do good things in Christianity, the church needs to stop silencing women
Q: I have a complaint. Women do good things in Christianity, so I feel the church needs to stop silencing women then.
A: Well... godly leaders rightly teach Scripture. We are not to go against the Word. We do seem to have many churches teaching rebellion against God's design and stiring up self centered sinful living (to go our own way vs God's), either because they are false teachers, cater to women, embraced the pagan culture, or whatever other sinful reason. Self righteousness and pridefulness have no place in right Christian living.
Fortunately the "Berean minded" believers today continue to grow to understand why God has created us as he has, and given men and women different roles. We are still created in the image of God and are to live out righteousness and according to His will - not ours. The below can help you grow in that area, if indeed you submitted to Christ and have been born again.
Scripture is our authority on all matters.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 states, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
1 Timothy 2:13:
"For Adam was formed first, and then Eve."
Gid created the order, our design and roles... and we must live in them.
Romans 12 tells us:
I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.
