Terrified and struggling with sin

What does it mean when you find yourself in situations that almost kill you or injure you continuously? Is God doing this to me? Is it because of the sins I continually do that I haven’t been able to give up yet?

I’m terrified. I prayed for protection on my way to work and still got hurt. The sins I’m doing seem to be the only things keeping me from suicidal depression. I keep praying for forgiveness but I feel more and more unsafe by the day.

A: Believers do not purposely sin nor plot it. They do not live in sin as a lifestyle. We have a new nature.

If you are wanting righteousness and to conquer all sin then that is where you can start.

Those in Christ love righteousness and hate sin. We put on the armor of God. We live in righteousness. In the new nature.

Have you been born again? Jesus told us that is the only way to be made right with God. Jesus is the only way. Many today need a proper clearer understanding of this in a world full of false gospels and false teachings about Christianity. So - Reject the false messages and embrace the truth. Jesus offers Peace, and it doesnt seem you have that right now.

If you are right with God then you have nothing to be terrified about. You have peace and joy no matter the circumstances.  And, God is in control. Whether here or in eternity we have a personal relationship with God and follow the Savior. The redeemed are children of God. He is a trustworthy and perfect Father who loves his own.

Here are some helps for you after you verify you are born again.

On Suffering (& Discipline)

Believers & conquering sin

Salvation

On Righteousness -
When we understand the holiness of God and come to understand his attributes more then we grow to love God more and more.

And the commandments can be lived out in righteous nature because it is done in the Law of Christ not by moralism and legalism but because it is now in our nature to live them out (loving God and other humans).

Every believer needs to be reading the Bible daily. All 66 books God gave us are Him communicating to us what he wants us to know. Make it a habit to hear from God daily through Scripture. Do it first thing in the morning without fail. And then obey and apply what you learn for godly living.

Is a very good resource for believers that will benefit you beyond the above links.
