Living out the Fruit of the Spirit better? Growing in Righteousness...

Wanting the Fruit of the Spirit to be displayed more in my life

Q: I have struggled with respecting my husband by believing in him, speaking well to and about him, valuing his opinions, and honoring his wishes. Also, when making decisions, consider him; don't dismiss his opinions and feelings. For integrity, remaining consistent, to have genuine motives, and to have my words and actions align.

I want to be and act in those ways but they don't always come naturally. I've lived selfishly (not selflessly) for so long. I'm not sure how to be the type of woman Scripture describes as a believer and wife - naturally; as in walking in our new nature. I'm not the person I want to be. 😔

A: This could be a helpful start. Specifically see the links to the books at the bottom. They are about Christian living; walking in righteousness & displaying the Fruit of the Believer.

God will bring you situations where you have opportunity to practice doing these things, so just seek to do so when situations arrise, problems, trials etc and look for ways in every day life to live them out even if others dont see it, including hubby 😊.

We grow in holiness through sanctification. So once you grasp something, apply it and live in it. One after another.

This has studies in Christian living and on Sanctification too.

This study goes over the Fruit of the Spirit, and this gives a brief rundown (at the bottom). And these likewise are a help, How to practically Glorify God in your life and On bearing Fruit for God.

God bless
