Help - my Husband looks at women
Q: How do I deal with a husband that looks at other women?
A: Is it with wandering eyes and lustful thoughts? Thats adultery.
Is he born again (and his life shows proof of a radical transformation)?
If not, he lives in his sin nature and doesnt follow righteousness. He will only do moral things to outwardly look good, or get his way. Even cleaning up his life will not fix the inner problem. You cant fix him.
If he is saved and has the new righteous nature, then he will desire to live righteously. If he isnt reading the Bible to keep conforming to it, he can fall into sin. Sin keeps people from the Bible because they are convicted of sin. He needs to repent and go conquer that sin to have victory so it no longer has temptation over him.
Have you shared the Gospel with him? Try to get his thoughts. Show him this video (needGod.com) and ask "if he has ever understood the Gospel presented so well before." Ask "if he understands now why we need Jesus as our Savior." And then ask "if he wants to obey the gospel to be right with God". If he does... and obeys it then God will convert him. He will either instantly not look at other women now because he has the new nature, or he will need to conquer that and other internal sins.
While this could help, you help him understand sexual sin issues all stem from something being wrong internally. If he wants to conquer it he needs to be saved to kill these sins at the root.
Beyond that he has to step into the light and not try to hide in darkness (preventing anyone else seeing whats going on).
Professional biblical counseling would be the next steps if his attempts at self counseling through these resources doesnt.
