Should we worship God out of fear

Q: Is it wrong to worship God out of fear?

Whenever I start to doubt I worry Jesus on the throne, and the Father grinning with pleasure as they watch mankind’s flesh being burned off their bones in hell as they’re screaming in pain, in eternal torment.

I think to myself, will I be a victim of mass genocide at the hand of a "loving God". And so I fear and I bow down to worship God.

Should I really be worshiping God out of fear like this?

A: Having a proper view of God,, His justice, love, wrath,, and a proper understanding of salvation are important. This can help.

1. Gain a clear understanding of The Gospel

2. Proper understanding of God's Nature and Character

3. Proper Fear of God

Resources for Believers

For info on Hell and Judgment, but also to understand that believers have no fear of death and no fear of judgment; Jesus has already fully paid for your sins if you were born again by God. So make sure you are saved, and then go study the above.

#4 will also help you understand various theology or teachings of Scripture, and how to grow in your personal study in the Bible as well.
