Approving of other unrighteous unions and lifestyles

Alistair

To those that agree with Pastor Alistair Begg's counsel about attending a homosexual wedding:

1. If your relative invites you to his wedding to his son, daughter, father, mother, sister, brother, aunt, or uncle  etc., would you attend the wedding and give a gift to the nuptials after explaining to them prior to the wedding your convictions as a Christian that you are against the sin of incest and firmly believe what the Bible teaches that marriage is between a man and a woman?  As a Christian, if you agree with Pastor Begg's counsel to the grandmother that she should attend the homosexual wedding, but disagree with the previous scenario, what is your reason for disagreeing with this scenario and what is your standard and source for disagreeing with this scenario?

Those who recommend attendance of a "gay" or "trans" wedding would do well to remember when John the Baptizer criticized directly Herod Antipas, ruler of Galilee and son of Herod the Great, for entering into an incestuous marriage. "John had been telling Herod (Antipas), 'It is not permitted for you to have the wife (Herodias) of your (half-)brother (Philip)'" (Mark 6:18). John regarded this as a violation of Levitical incest law: "You shall not uncover the nakedness of your brother's wife; it is your brother's nakedness" (Lev 18:16; also 20:21). What do you think the likelihood is that John the Baptizer would have attended this incestuous wedding or recommended such to his disciples (had the opportunity presented itself) in order to keep an evangelistic channel of communication open? Or do you pretend that Scripture provides us with insufficient evidence to make this determination?(2)

2. If your relative invites you to his polygamous (married to multiple persons of the same sex) or polyamorous (married to multiple persons both male and female) wedding, would you attend the wedding and give a gift to the nuptials after explaining to the nuptials prior to the wedding your convictions as a Christian that you are against the sin of polygamy and polyamory and firmly believe what the Bible teaches that marriage is between a man and a woman? As a Christian, if you agree with Pastor Begg's counsel to the grandmother that she should attend the homosexual wedding, but disagree with the previous scenario, what is your reason for disagreeing with this scenario and what is your standard and source for disagreeing with this scenario?

4.
If your relative invites you to his wedding where he plans to marry a trans species or Furry (person who modified their body regardless of gender to look like an alien or fish or anime fantasy creature, *or* one who dresses up in a full costume as a Fox, Lion, Tiger, anime animal character  and lives as one), would you attend the wedding and give a gift to the nuptials after explaining to them prior to the wedding your convictions as a Christian that you are against the sin of not living as an image bearer of God which they were created as (and any lgbt+ same sex union happening here) and firmly believe what the Bible teaches that marriage is between a man and a woman?  As a Christian, if you agree with Pastor Begg's counsel to the grandmother that she should attend the homosexual wedding, but disagree with the previous scenario, what is your reason for disagreeing with this scenario and what is your standard and source for disagreeing with this scenario?

5. If your relative invites you to his wedding to his family pet (Fido, Lassie, Rin Tin Tin, etc.), would you attend the wedding and give a gift to the nuptials after explaining to the nuptials prior to the wedding your convictions as a Christian that you are against the sin of beastiality and firmly believe what the Bible teaches that marriage is between a man and a woman? As a Christian, if you agree with Pastor Begg's counsel to the grandmother that she should attend the homosexual wedding, but disagree with the previous scenario, what is your reason for disagreeing with this scenario and what is your standard and source for disagreeing with this scenario?

If you’re a Christian and God states in His Word that the practice of homosexuality and/or transgenderism is : 1) an abomination, 2) dishonorable, 3) unnatural, 4) unrighteous and those who practice such acts will not inherit the kingdom of God, 5) sexually immoral, 6) contrary to sound doctrine and is a law breaker, 7) condemned to extinction and making them an example what is going to happen to the ungodly (Sodom & Gomorrah),  and 8. is sexually immoral and perverse. What do you think God thinks of homosexuality and do you think the Lord approves of homosexual marriage? After reading the preceding list along with the cited verses that appear after this post, do you think God would approve of a Christian attending a homosexual wedding despite the fact that the Christian has stated his convictions that he is against the sin of homosexuality and firmly believes what the Bible teaches that marriage is between a man and a woman. Also, keeping in mind that a wedding is not only a celebration of the couple getting married but is also a God ordained institution, Hebrews 13:4 states:

“Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.” (Heb. 13:4)

With regards to Hebrews 13: 4, Christian, how is homosexual marriage honorable, and how is the homosexual couple’s marriage bed going to be undefiled if God considers homosexuality an abomination, dishonorable, unnatural, sexually immoral and perverse etc.? After reading that verse, how do you justify attending a homosexual wedding?

“You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination.” (Leviticus 18:22)

“A woman shall not wear a man's garment, nor shall a man put on a woman's cloak, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord your God.” (Deut. 22:5)

“For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature;” (Rom. 1:26)

“Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality,” (1 Cor. 6:9)

“the sexually immoral, men who practice homosexuality, enslavers, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine,” (1 Tim. 10)

"if by turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to ashes he condemned them to extinction, making them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly;c 7and if he rescued righteous Lot, greatly distressed by the sensual conduct of the wicked 8(for as that righteous man lived among them day after day, he was tormenting his righteous soul over their lawless deeds that he saw and heard); 9then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials,d and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment, 10and especially those who indulgee in the lust of defiling passion and despise authority. (2 Pet. 2:6-10)

“In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire.” (Jude 7)

"Does anyone find any reason why these two should not be bound in matrimony? Let him speak now or forever hold his peace..."
...Allistair Begg: "It's all good!".

So, Allistair, if/when these two "adopt" to "raise" a child in this reprobate relationship will you recommend she celebrate this sin too?

Tim Brown Justin Peters and Dan Phillips gave that very example (gay couple adopting/raising child) on Justin's recent podcast
