Help my 7 yr needs a Bible
My Child is 7 and it looks like he just came to Christ. We are hoping it is a genuine conversion 🎉.
My question is what Bible would you recommend for a 7 year old? Maybe slightly more grown up, he’s a bit beyond the beginners bible.
A: First off… praise the LORD for your son’s salvation! And that he has godly parents shepherding him at home.
A kid’s and youth pastor I know of uses this Bible in Sunday School, and give to 2nd graders in the fall. It is a full Bible, but it has a lot of commentary, facts, etc that really help kids understand what is going on. If this feels like it’s a step above what your son needs, they also make a “My First Hands on Bible” that we use in younger groups.

More small short chapter style that ties the gospel thread from ot to nt and is super helpful for getting a vision of how Jesus is central throughout the entire Bible.
The Action Bible: God's Redemptive Story (Action Bible Series)
It’s the Bible depicted as a graphic novel, kids love it! It doesn’t work for looking up a specific reference, but it is so well done and gives a RICH understanding of the overall story of scripture!

Childrens Bible by Golden books
It’s full of all the main Bible stories, but every page has beautiful illustrations. Growing up your child will have very fond memories of dad reading to them from it before bed.
The ESV Action Bible! Read it together every night before bed.
Is another good option.
I do not recommend any other Bibles. These are enough and sre reputable trustworthy ones.
*Note of caution:
I do highly recommend staying Away from any NIV; it has had a lot of gender changes in it. Fortunately NLT overtook that version in 2008 as most used today.
