Do we have to read Numbers? 😫

Q: Do we have to read Numbers or Job? πŸ˜…

I became a Christian last year, and since then, I have read nearly the entire Bible, with the exception of 2 chapters, which I have found to be difficult to "get into".

I have a hard time keeping my attention and or understanding Numbers, and Job. I've tried on several occasions. I know they're important, but continuing to stay stuck on these isn't getting me anywhere. Is it okay use a paraphrased explanation of the books and call it good? Or do I skip them again and begin re-reading other books? Or use an in-depth study guide that I'm not sure will make it any easier or appealing to help me get through those chapters?

A: Let's start with some humor....πŸ˜‚
Congrats & You can read how you want.
Best answer is 😁 Use an audio Bible. Easiest way. πŸ‘‰I have found there's loads of stuff in there beyond the numbers. The numbers are historical info useful for the reason written but unless you are really there studying that part... it is ok to skip it.

My pastor has been preaching 60 yrs and he has 0 sermons on book of Numbers and 0 on Job πŸ˜‚

As for Job. Perhaps hearing the audio Bible on that book two times in a row will help.

When I read numbers I highlighted everything NOT numbers related and it helps me read thru it. Ofc any names recognizable I highlight.

Hope that helps
