Mormon friend?

Q:  I am a Christian and there's a guy I like who is Mormon. What do I need to consider?
A:  Christians and Mormonism are two different religions.

Mormons have been rebranding their cult since 2016 to try to get people to think they are Christian. Don't fall for it.

The biblical teachings in the Bible (Essentials of Christianity) are not what the Mormon cult believes and teaches.

Mormons reject the Bible and its truths, but twist it to suit their purposes to pull people into their cult when talking to them. Today 50% of the members in their religion came from decieving & pulling weak believers into their cult (from door knocking). This is why it is vital to have a firm grasp on the basics taught in Scripture, so you are not decieved by them or any other false religion, esp ones masqurading as Christian.

Not only do these essentials taught in Scripture reveal foundational problems with mormonism, but it gets worse... they created a new book that claims to be from God (which is impossible for that to be true).  They have a different gospel a different god and a different Jesus. They even claim you can become a god, and many other big problems. It isnt that have a few differences which like in protestant denominations is fine to have, theyre an outright false religion teaching doctrines of demons.

My best godly Christian advice and counsel is to end a friendship (or bf/gf or engaged) relationship with people in cults and false religions. But especially if you are a teen or 20's age group because you really need to use this time to get a firm grasp on Scripture, its foundational teachings, memorize key verses related to that, and grasp the Gospel well so that later as a mature believer you can witness well and with proper knowledge and have answers to engage those in false religions. Those in cults and false religions are easily able to manipulate, deceive and dupe young people into their religion because they have been trained to do so.

This can help if you want to examine it:

Understanding the Essentials taught in the Bible. [🌟Memorize those verses].

*why and how someone gets saved

*Who can be considered a denomination

* this site is geared to witnessing to and answering mormon questions, but will be a great help to you after you examine the Essentials above.
