Money Tracts?
Money Tracts
Q: I saw a disabled lady in a motorized cart at the store handing out tracts that look like money, is this wrong? The person might need money for food.
A: It is legit evangelism. We use the things of this world to reach them. Money is the worlds greatest desire, but when we understand sin we find out Jesus is our greatest desire/need.
Their greatest need is salvation. They could die in 5 minutes or as soon as they drive off from the store. Bread won't help them then.
Job said, “I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my necessary food” Job 23:12
The Apostles Peter and John were entering the temple gates when they encounter a lame man begging for alms. The man expects them to give him money, but Peter responds by saying, "Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk!" (Acts 3:6).
Acts 2:44-45 "All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold their property and possessions to give to anyone in need."
So, if you see a gospel tract giver hand it out in a store [and they have no cart full of food] and the reciever says they need money for food, the giver can refer them to Christian services to help them with food needs, or a Christian pantry then its all good. But if that info isnt offered in the convo when the the person says they have no money for food, and hear the Christian isnt able to help financially, you as a Christian with money can step in and say "Hi, I heard you were in need of a few things...and I am a Christian too, she might not be able to help but it looks like God brought me here also at the same time so you would be blessed both with the Gospel and to help your other need too." And go buy them some food. And as you part ways encourage them to read the tract. Tell em today was def a divine encounter and God is calling to you. 😊
That tracting believer was going into the highways and byways and into the world where they could, to go share the Gospel, and are doing the Lord's work. Pray for that work. And afterwards even ask them how you can get equipped to share the gospel too. If you dont exchange socials or texts they might can hand you a few tracts to help spread the seeds of truth. 😊
Here is a money tract story.
16 million tracts, and all the ones in the UK were handed out in 11 minutes. People wanted them.
Here are some evangelism resources, and some links to holiday seasonal tracts as well (bottom), to help you as you reach the lost for Christ.
